"My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant. First, let me say that I thought it was overpriced by American standards based on what you get. The photos make it appear that the buffet is very large and has a wide selection. Not true...by American standards. There is a tappanyaki grill as advertised. I took some raw shrimp and fried rice to the man to have him cook it, he told me he couldn't because it would burn. I asked the man did he know how to cook shrimp fried rice and although the rice was previously cooked, couldn't he just put the rice on the grill after the shrimp was cooked and just heat it on the grill for thirty seconds to a minute? The manager came by and told me the same thing, the rice would burn. I asked the manager if he ever been to St. Louis, Missouri in the USA. I asked because St. Louis has the best Chinese Food on the planet....don't ask me why but they do. The service was okay but for the price of 17 .95 Euros, I thought it was high. Lunch is 9.95 Euros and I probably would have given a better review at this price because that seems more appropriate for what you get. Also, drinks costs extra. About 2.50 Euro for soft drink. We paid 3.00 Euros for Green tea each. No Refills on drinks. I eat at a lot of Chinese Restaurants and buffets in the USA. This restaurant is subpar in my opinion and I did not care much for the food or the dinner selection. Again, this may be a better place for lunch rather than dinner, but I did not have lunch there. The restaurant is on the second floor, but there is an elevator and escalator inside the store within the shopping center where the restaurant is located."

If you like very good fresh Chinese food then this is the perfect place. Very good and cheap Euro 11.90 for lunch buffet or Euro 17.90 for dinner. You can take tram 8 from Basel to the end. You can also come by car....Free parking there.

the fresh chinese food is really excellent. You can take from Basel the tram 8 until the end. I really recommend you this place if you love chinese food. As of 18.30 you have dinner buffet for Euro 16.90. You have more choice here like...Schrimps, fish etc.

We went there twice at lunchtime, and twice we ate well for the price (10 It is not worth the 18 they ask for the same at dinner time or on weekends.... The first time everything was fresh and tasty and we were very pleased....The second time the chicken (tried different types) was very dry and everything felt less fresh.

I never expect much when I go to places like this, but I was pleasantly surprised. Of course you won't get prime Chinese/Asian food here, but you do get a good range of decent dishes that will do the trick if you're looking for a cheap lunch....More Some of the dishes were quite salty but not too much so. They also have sushi but don't expect much. There is also a small buffet if you crave a salad. Prices are very decent for lunch (€10.90 all you can eat) but dinner is more expensive. Overall this is a good place to go and it's only a short distance from Switzerland (if you want to escape their crazy prices there.

I generally avoid Asian buffet places like the plague but was nearby when hunger struck. It was a pleasant surprise. Very large buffet with offerings to keep almost anyone happy. The usual offerings but well prepared for buffet standards plus a large assortment of raw...meats and seafood that you can combine with a large choice of vegetables and have cooked on their grill. All of the serving pans on the buffet are regularly filled so no shortage. Some nori maki offerings and an ice cream bar. Place gets crowded over lunch with good reason. They have a small bar and my favorite lunch time quaff, Hefe Weizen on tap. If you're in the area give it a shot. You can also buy a small take out carton...

I have been here several times for lunch buffet and loved the experience. In comparison to the other 5 Chinese restaurants that I have been in this area, they have the best staff who are always friendly and accommodating. The lunch buffet is not that...huge but its sufficient. I live in Basel so this restaurant is conveniently located in Tram 8 last stop. I regularly visit this area for weekly grocery shopping to avoid the huge crowd in Marktkauf Area (btw I have to mention that the 2 Chinese restaurant in and outside Marktkauf has bad service, too packed and unfriendly staff). So I highly recommend this to Basel peeps looking for a quick hunger fix while visiting germany. It's a simple mini...

Compared to some All you can eat buffets in France, the food on the buffet is maybe just above-average. But the service and the Teppanyaki make the difference. They are very forthcoming, helpful and they explain everything you need to know. They are also fast...in serving the drinks and, if you like, always there for a small chat. We've been here for lunch before, it was good. For dinner, they offer a number of different special meat you can try. We had shark, whale and crocodile. This part of the buffet is intended to collect what you want and hand it to the chef who will grill fry it on the iron plate (Teppanyaki). They offered different kind of meat as just written, vegetable, herbs, nood...

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
