The vegan food at this restaurant is excellent. I had the full English breakfast and it was absolutely bursting with flavor. It was a complete treat. It's refreshing to see some imagination in vegan cooking. Thank you.

This is the first time I have visited and I will be back. I had a brunch with a friend she had the cheesy melt and I had the mushroom melt. Both were delicious and surprisingly good, mainly as I am looking for a great vegan experience and this could be it..

If you enjoy vegan plant-based meals, this restaurant is a must-visit! I have been to this cafe about 10 times and everything I have ordered has been absolutely delicious. The location is lovely, perfect for sightseeing or shopping in Hitchin. It's a nice touch that they allow dogs as well. Thank you, Chia!

This is a fantastic vegan spot that will certainly have food you enjoy whether you follow the plant based diet or not. I regularly enjoy the meals on offer at chia, and even better, the cakes! I would recommend the pancakes and the nachos, as well as the fruit crumble slices. There is always a warm atmosphere inside chia and the staff are always friendly. You can see they work hard to make the place as lovely as it is!

We have visited this cafe several times before and we’re always pleased. The vegan breakfast with beans was fantastic when ordered before. Today however we waited half an hour for breakfast, beans have been taken off the breakfast and generally it was tasteless and cold. £13 for breakfast is not cheap, sadly we were let down and shall not be returning, lots of other cafes and restaurants in the are that were packed out today….Chia not so busy as it usually is, perhaps people feel the same as me? Fresh juice was good, but should be at £6 a pop.

You have to order at the till in the cafe fine. Before my payment had even gone through the girl serving me was already texting on her phone. I ordered 2 spicy falafel shawarma. We waited 25 mins , in this time the table the ordered just before us got their food and had finished it. We went in to ask where the ours was and they were not the most friendly claiming we had only ordered one before realising we were correct and had ordered 2. All together we waited half hour for our meal , no updates and no apologies. The food was lovely but service sadly not.

I have been visiting Chia since they opened on the other side of the churchyard. It’s a fantastic business despite being a bit pricy, but as everything is plant based and so yummy it’s worth the extra cost. However we went for breakfast at the weekend and the filth was shocking. The floor clearly had not been swept. The benches have “slat gaps” and they were full of food debris and dirt. The upright surface of the bar under the coffee machine had mud smears on it. Given we went at about 10am I was shocked. It wouldn’t have been good at the end of the day but it just looked like the cleaning had not been done. Thoroughly disappointed and will definitely not be rushing back.

I popped in today to grab a late lunch at 2.30. There were no clean tables and the staff were more interested in taking photos of food. I had to sit at a table full of dirty dishes went and ordered my lunch and a bottle of water. It took ages to come out and although the table next to me was ‘cleaned’ in that time mine was not. I say cleaned they removed the dirty dishes but didn’t wipe it down. When my food at last came out I had to ask for my water. Again they ‘cleaned’ the table. I had no napkins so had to get up and find myself some. I use to like going in for lentil Dahl for my lunch, which has been removed from the menu. I had the loaded nachos they were ok nothing to write home about....

The food at this restaurant was tasty, but my companion and I ordered the 'Full English' breakfast and were disappointed when it did not match the menu description. The menu mentioned sausages and mushrooms (plural), but we only received one mushroom and one sausage. Additionally, the menu advertised 'Garlic Mushrooms,' but there was no garlic present. At £15, the price for one breakfast seemed excessive, especially with such misleading menu descriptions. The scrambled tofu was also served stone cold. In the past, we have had issues at this place when it was smaller, but nothing to this extent. I reached out to the restaurant with my concerns, but received no response. It is disappointing th...
