Booked a table then cancelled unfortunately but I was told there wasn’t a booking! Thank god we didn’t turn up thinking there was a table for us. New management very rude on phone too, so I’ll say thanks but no thanks I’ll be spending my well earned money else where.

Wedding Anniversary meal also marked last week of current owners operation. Wait to see if excellence continues or changes here's hoping. Food drinks: Excellent menus. Lots of lovely extras. New ownership obviously has not kept up the high standards. Terrible food at a standard you would expect from a pub and not a high end restaurant. Starter was so bad I sent it back despite it being the house speciality . Followed by poor and defensive service. A sober and extremely disappointing experience. The management claim to want feedback but frankly act more like they prefer payment. Service: 1

We met up with friends here last Saturday for a meal . The menu has changed since we came last and wow , it is absolutely phenomenal and such great value . It is fine dining at its very best . The presentation and quality of food is fantastic. I had a fish soup for starters , lamb for mains and pistachio nougat glacé for dessert. My friends tried other dishes and everything was up to the same high standard. We are foodies and pretty fussy but we all absolutely loved everything that we had . 3/10 Not the restaurant it once was I only just discovered the restaurant has changed hands and they clearly haven’t been able to keep the same standard that the place had before. the owner wouldn’t allow the waitresses to take food orders, we had to wait for him. As a result we waited 30minutes for our order to be taken. He needs to give his staff some more responsibility as two of the ladies would be more than capable of taking orders from customers. the prawn starter was bland and over the top, the garnishes added no flavour French onion soup was like a chutney and barely has any cheese on top. the steak was asked to be cooked medium and it came out rare, no steak knife was provided. the...
