"Just had the best meal in Roymai as usual. The starter, main meal and dessert were all wonderful. The staff are lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Dunstable. Would definitely recommend."

"David and I have keenly watched the career of Steve and were delighted to have him take over The Anchor which is a few minutes from home. We had high expectations of the meal and were blown away by the magical dishes. We loved the warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere and chatted happily with other diners. The best thing about this lovely village pub is that at it's heart is family. Now, to the food, every mouthful was tasty, little bursts of contrasting yet complimentary flavour. I was particularly pleased that I was able to order a chocolate dessert which has not happened in years as I am allergic to dark chocolate and am always disappointed that chefs favour it. I know, I know, it's the best chocolate to have at least 70%cocoa yawn yawn, but I am allergic to it and always have to miss out, so thank you very very much Steve for making me feel normal. I cannot wait to get back for a Sunday lunch or dinner to see what magical spins Steve can do. Thank you very much for a superb evening, I have earnt brownie points for treating David to a memorable Birthday meal."

"we were in dunstable for an overnight stay and were looking for somewhere to eat. we enjoy Turkish eating and found efes bbq online. it is a large airy restaurant and eating is prepared at the front. we received a friendly greeting from the cooking team before we stepped from the waiting staff on our table. we were able to choose our own table that was appreciated. the places had a beautiful atmosphere and offer clearly for couples, families and larger parties alike. eating was nice, nicely cooked and presented and reasonably priced. there are two portions for eating, again something we liked. it is a recommendation from us!"

"Ok so Ive been to Lumpini a few times now and have always enjoyed the food but on my most recent visit I wasn’t all that happy with the food or customer service. I took my two daughters who had never been before so they could experience something different. We ordered our starters which were nice, we then ordered our main and the waitress came to our table 3 times to confirm what rice we wanted which was a bit disorganised I thought. Any way the food came and I was happy enough but thought the curry consistency was a bit on the thin side And tasted less coconut than I remembered as though it had been watered down and it lacked enough salt as well which wasn’t a huge issue but there was no salt or pepper to hand on the table so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could of had there been some. My first daughter enjoyed her curry but the rice was disgusting in my opinion, it was spicy rice but it was more like spicy with half a bottle of oil and it was not cheap. My other daughter did not like the food at all and decided to leave her food. Thai is not for everyone. But the thing that bothered me was the lack of customer service really and the feeling that your a valued customer. On previous visits someone would always come over to ask if we needed anything and that the food was ok but this time there was nothing, even on the way out there was nobody to say goodbye and thank you for coming like there usually is and it may sound petty but all these little things add to the experience and make a difference to whether you would go back again. There was a couple of faces I didn’t recognise so maybe there is different people running the place then before but after this experience I won’t be rushing back as I was disappointed in more than 1 way and it’s not a cheap meal out"

"beautiful bank-ferior-pub lunchtime. husband had hut cake with beautiful fresh veg. I went for the plow. I need gluten-free and the lady in the kitchen also needed to put gluten-free my spirit in rest. will definitely go back, large menu, good beer. real pub ."
