"The manager is rude! We were informed that since we couldn't download the app, we could pay at the bar, which we had done several times. However, when I went to order our last drink, the manager abruptly told us that this was illegal. Despite explaining that we had been doing it the entire time we were there due to not being able to download the app, he was still very rude and then proceeded to berate the waitress at the bar in front of everyone. It seems like the manager behaves this way with many customers. A very unpleasant man, we will not be returning."

I love coming to this pub. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and I appreciate how well they have managed through the challenges of the Covid-19. Thank you for your hard work.

Waited 20 plus minutes for 2 breakfasts. Food came out eventually but cold. Restaurant was empty and can see why. Wouldn't recommend. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Good menu selection and usual large portions. Had to wait nearly 10mins on arrival for someone to check our booking and show us to our table. Luckily were allocated a table which had no view of any of the numerous tv sports screen a BIG distraction when we just wanted a family meal! I have visited this restaurant before and have never been disappointed with the food and service. But this time, I have to say that the service was outstanding. The manager, John, was fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. He made sure we were happy in every way. I must give credit to this pub for their top-notch service. I give them 5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere. I highly recommend trying their Sunday Roast.

"I made a reservation at this restaurant before heading to the theater, and I was really impressed. "The food is amazing here all homemade and great quality. Absolutely love the bakery and cakes section, particularly the casta de nata (custard tarts and sweet filled cannelloni both a must try. Coffee is also delicious and there are some seats in there...to sit with a drink/cake. You can order lunch here but I tend to stop for fresh baking ingredients and snacks. There's a huge range of fresh fruit, veg and also a large range of pasta with unusual shapes/types that you wont find anywhere else. If you are in town on a weekday/Saturday be sure to pop in and check it out as we are lucky to have such a good delicatessen."

"Popped in for a quick drink on Jan This place is an absolute gem! Not the biggest pub I’ve ever been in but it was oozing charm. The manager and owner were very friendly as were the other customers, if I lived a bit closer I’d happily make this my local."

"Ok so Ive been to Lumpini a few times now and have always enjoyed the food but on my most recent visit I wasn’t all that happy with the food or customer service. I took my two daughters who had never been before so they could experience something different. We ordered our starters which were nice, we then ordered our main and the waitress came to our table 3 times to confirm what rice we wanted which was a bit disorganised I thought. Any way the food came and I was happy enough but thought the curry consistency was a bit on the thin side And tasted less coconut than I remembered as though it had been watered down and it lacked enough salt as well which wasn’t a huge issue but there was no salt or pepper to hand on the table so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could of had there been some. My first daughter enjoyed her curry but the rice was disgusting in my opinion, it was spicy rice but it was more like spicy with half a bottle of oil and it was not cheap. My other daughter did not like the food at all and decided to leave her food. Thai is not for everyone. But the thing that bothered me was the lack of customer service really and the feeling that your a valued customer. On previous visits someone would always come over to ask if we needed anything and that the food was ok but this time there was nothing, even on the way out there was nobody to say goodbye and thank you for coming like there usually is and it may sound petty but all these little things add to the experience and make a difference to whether you would go back again. There was a couple of faces I didn’t recognise so maybe there is different people running the place then before but after this experience I won’t be rushing back as I was disappointed in more than 1 way and it’s not a cheap meal out"
