"I reviewed recently on trip advisor. I gave it 3 stars which to be honest was probably too high. I did say it was hot and has lots of meat. However I also stated my opinion that it was bland and lacked flavour. I also said that it was too expensive and there’s no money off for collection. I left a fair review. I travel extensively as I live on a boat. I am leaving one star now as I am upset by their response to my trip advisor review. They basically called me a liar saying that as my account city showed Bristol, I could not possibly have been there and been served by them as they have good relationships with customers etc. How dare they insinuate that just because I wasn’t impressed with the meal, I was mistaken in the location. I’m not stupid for goodness sake! If they bothered to scroll back I had given them 5 stars in the past but this time it wasn’t so good. Another customer was waiting for food when we were and he also was complaining about the price. It’s extremely arrogant to suggest that just because I gave them a 3 star review I was somehow confused about where I had been and that it couldn’t possibly be that they were sub-standard on this occasion."

"My wife and I visited this restaurant, now called Zaazu, based on a friend's recommendation. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, Zaazu is not your average Indian restaurant. The food is exceptional in both taste and presentation. The dining room is beautifully decorated and cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere even on a slower Thursday evening. The service was excellent. While the menu is more limited compared to other Indian restaurants, it didn't feel lacking in any way. The dishes offered are unique and the waiters are more than happy to explain any unfamiliar terms. We started with the Zaazu Tasting Platter, which included vegetable samosas, beef tacos, tiger prawns, and chicken tikka bites, as well as some lamb chops. For our mains, we ordered Butter chicken, Beef Brisket Masala, and a Rajastani lamb curry, all of which were delicious. I highly recommend Zaazu and believe it ranks among the best Asian restaurants in the country."

"We had a very enjoyable meal here on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, which contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. The food took a bit longer to arrive, but we appreciated the relaxed pace. Every one of us was delighted with our dishes; the spice levels were just as described and exactly what we were looking for. There were some intriguing alternatives to the typical curries as well. This place is well worth a visit, and we will definitely return! The price per person was between £10 and £20."

"We didn't know the area but wanted something to eat. We googled Pubs near Atherstone and the Black Horse came up. When, we drove up I nearly drove on, as from the outside it didn't look too good. Boy am I glad we didn't. We were greeted in the car park by the Landlord and Landlady who were very friendly and informative, making us feel at home straight away. This place was amazing, a small restaurant laid up like a 5 star one would be. Then a cosy les formal Garden Room. The menu had a really good choice for a town centre pub. We both chose the Frank Parker's Sirloin steak, which we requested Blue. When the meals came they were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection and excellent quality. As were the accompanying vegetables For dessert my husband had Eton Mess and I had the Chefs Special of Salted Caramel Cheesecake, both of which were to die for. We are looking forward to eating here again and feel that it is well worth the nearly 80 miles round trip."

"This is a fantastic place to eat. Don't be fooled in thinking it is a place where only a certain age go for their breakfast or lunch. It is a place you can go to no matter what your age. They serve the everyday jacket potatoes and sandwiches but it's not what people flock for. Try one of their locally produced sausages with mash peas or beans. A home made pie with mash or even a spam fritter. Perhaps washed down with dandelion and burdock or a camp coffee. You won't regret giving it a try and experiencing the 1940's in vision, sound and taste."
