Having a night out while working at the Holbeach festival, I decided to take a break and stumbled upon this restaurant. What a gem! I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. The Prawn Purée starter was the best I've ever had. The service, attention to detail, cleanliness, and ambiance were outstanding. Thank you!

We visited Chemeli for the first time last weekend after receiving recommendations from several people. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, it was the best curry we've had in years. We were so impressed that we immediately made a reservation for tomorrow evening at 6. Had a take away as my brother insisted this was the best place to get it from. The service staff were great and seemed the place had a great atmosphere. But it's about the food , the chutneys are watered down, the chicken was dry and the bhajees reheated I have never tasted anything quite so bland in my times eating Indian and I like Indian food. Food was good and service was fine, an enjoyable evening out but no Wine or Beer as they are not Licensed, restaurant has too many tables crammed into a small space so it was not what you could describe as an intimate dining experience, the manager was very polite and welcoming. Worth a visit though but not quite Michelin standards, more of an upmarket take out with tables and chairs. Vegetarian options: Spinach and potatos was mostly spinach. We ordered over the phone for a take away order and was told it would take 1hr, we weren't too bothered by this wait. But worth noting, they get busy so order early. I went to collect an hour later, paid and was asked to sit wait briefly. It was another 25 minutes of waiting, in this time other customers had come and collected but I was still waiting. Eventually I was given the food and i headed back. The 3 curries we had ordered were quite small portions and the vindaloo I wanted for its spice was hardly much stronger than a korma.
