"We had a memorable dinner here tonight. The wine is delicious and inexpensive: the Pilsner was presented properly and is also reasonable. We split a very large mixed salad with tuna, egg, large beans and all the regular salad fixings. Each one of us had...a large salad left after splitting it. Veal medallions with fresh porcini, fried potatoes and steamed fresh vegetables was one meal, the other was large, fresh calamari with spaghetti in olive oil and garlic. Delicious! Panda coat was an excellent desert. Francesco was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The setting is bright and cheerful. All in all, a memorable Italian meal."

"We have been at that place a few times now. The menu is pretty large and the food ranges from basic to great (specially when you know that you are away from town!). Ask for non-nutrion or lactose or gluten free if you need it, and lots of vegetarian food is offered too. The staff is friendly (hey, they are italians :-)). The Pizza is made ia a wood oven. The wine menu is good too. The restaurant renovated and centrally located. Food is offered 7 days from 11 a.m. to around midnight (also unusual). If you need a table book before you arrive. Parking is close by."

At some point, the traffic wourm then spit out in Murnau, and we stroll comfortably through the pedestrian zone. It's warm, people smiling around us and the street gastronomy has all the hands to do. Well, he who knows and doesn't look for a free table. We leave the pedestrian zone in a safe way, bend twice and stand below the castle museum. A steep staircase up and we reach the almost orphaned host garden of the Schlossvogels Restaurant Lounge Bar and Café! Yes, here we can choose any table, even if only hard beer tents with guaranteed back pain, but what a view over the roofs of Murnau! Quiet! And super interesting menu!! This brings us immediately a friendly serviceman and gives us enough time to browse it. I agree with my belly “How much do you like?” “Two Gänge”, brummt’s back. All right, then I take a main course and a dessert: What rarely happens – I can't decide.... Fried goat cheese on colorful leaf salads with raspberry dressing? Or rather a hosting smoked salmon quiche?? No, not? Now I have it: Fried zanderfilet on Paprika Rahm Kraut!! When the service comes, I instead order Bärlauch Knödel on mixed salad with yogurt garlic dressing € 8.50 Schatzl would like Schnitzel Wiener Art with potato salad € 11.80 – how boring ; Against the thirst two large Rhabarber Schorlen € 3.40 . If the chairs weren't so hard, you could be so smooth, so pleasantly quiet it is here. But there is also a second, just as friendly service as the first one to bring us our food. How fine is that?! It's been a long time since I had such good dumplings. VERY long. Not too hard and not too soft, wonderfully covered with fresh beard, parmesan plank on top and the salad so fresh that it almost still licks. Mild glaring light dressing – I am happy. And this is also sweetheart with his carving, fried golden yellow, not only from above, also the underside some cooks mean yes, a carving side must be almost black as a smoker lung, which then belongs down, the guest does not look.... That's how it can go on. For example, with a lime mousse € 4.90 for me and an apple strudel € 3.30 for Schatzl and an espresso € 1.90 . The mousse is so creamy and fluffy that it was impossible for the kitchen to pierce perfect cams. But the taste... Even now when I write, the water is coming together again. I don't like apple strudel, so I'm not interested in what is served on Schatzl's plate. “Now try!” he needs me. All right, good? SUPER!
