"So disappointed had a great Sunday dinner a few months ago so we thought we would go to the steak lovers offer on Thursdays only We we’re looking forward to it but was really let down my wife couldn’t eat her steak so we left it the chips were overcooked and some hard The drinks were fine I don’t know was has happened in such a short time we really thought we’d found a good pub restaurant The service was just about acceptable but we’re left to long unattended if we required anything else Who ever owns this establishment should oversee what’s happening Would be reluctant to return now shame."

"We booked a table here because of the very high Trip Advisor rating. Very well deserved! I ordered a lamb chop from the specials menu and the server told me it would come medium rare (which is what I like . When I tried it, I found it was rather more rare than I would like, which I mentioned to the server when he asked how the food was. He then asked if I would like him to cook it some more, which I said would be appreciated. He took my plate away and I assumed he would just pan fry the chop for a few extra minutes. To my great surprise, he returned about 10mins later with a completely new plate of food meat, potatoes and tomato all freshly cooked. Given that meat isn't cheap(! , I was really touched by this level of service. Our waitress, Martha, was very friendly and helpfully gave us some instructions for a safer walk home to our hotel up the road. The restaurant itself, though small in terms of the number of tables, is exceptionally clean and well presented and felt very spacious. I was also really pleased that they offer some wines in a 500ml carafe, which is perfect for two people. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. The team should be very proud of the food quality and level of service. :"

"Lovely view of the river and we had a very warm welcome on arrival, however we won 't be returning as found our lunch bill of £53 not matching the food. I ordered the Superfood salad but was so disappointed. Now I 'm a lover of carrots but the amount in this dish was ridiculous (I regret not taking a photo), had a few sprouts of broccoli, some beetroot and cous cous and that was it, for £17!! My husband had the ceasor salad, that was only £17 but at least that included chicken and bacon. I order fries as I was still hungry, £3.50 for a very small pot of chips seemed a lot. We also had 1 drink which then brought the bill to £53 which in my opinion is far too expense. The Superfood salad is not worth more than £10/£12. When the lady came to clear our table and asked was everything ok I pointed to my plate of carrots and said not enough food other than carrots , her response ..... we like to make sure you get plenty of veg . The place was very busy and we had a lovely table but your prices are not for us."

"Decided we’d grab a takeaway whilst staying nearby for a family holiday. My family (kids 2, 9 12 are pretty standard with Indian food and tend to order similar most places. I called to order so hubby could collect; friendly staff who were really helpful over the phone (some choices come rice bread and I didn’t want to order too much and have waste! ; We ordered x 3 starters and x3 curries (one came with rice, one with naan an extra rice and chapatis which is pretty standard for us and it came in around the £50 mark; a little more than our Yorkshire equivalent but still not bad. We were really pleased with our food; samosas aren’t the large homemade style we get at our local but we’re tasty (x2 small per portion ; chicken park or as we’re lovely and delicious! Chick Tikka Marsala was good not bright pink! and had delicate creamy sauce which is can be hard to find. Chick tikka balti was great; a kick without too hot and lots of usually onions a spellers as well as lots of large pieces of chicken and the korma was creamy, tasty and went down well with our korma king! Pilau rice was lovely and delicate flavours (again no bright coloured dyes and breads were lovely and tasty. Would dispute those saying it’s bland; i thought it was really tasty and the menu really comprehensive. Would definitely use again as takeaway or possibly eat in if returning got the area in future."

"I stopped by for lunch during a day trip, and the food was outstanding in both quality and portion size. The staff was friendly and helpful, which I especially appreciated since my wife is in a wheelchair. She loved her own brand of beer; it was delicious! I will definitely be returning!"
