"My partner and I were here on 10th June and this was our fourth visit to the restaurant over the last couple of years. The previous three previous occasions at this restaurant have been sat outside and magical! Food and service EXCEPTIONAL. This time however service was poor. A starter, the salmon platter that we have every time at this restaurant was about 70% smaller and not enough for two people. We also ordered croquettes they were ICE COLD. The croquettes were taken off the bill and we were offered a cocktail, but seeing previous reviews over the last few weeks there seems to be a common theme of complaints, so the restaurant is either not learning or there is just a lack of care. The mains were ok, felt as though they had been waiting on the pass and were warmish. We left very disappointed. Such as shame as this place used to be a go to destination restaurant enjoyed by many locals. I get the feeling that the tourist one visit scenario is now the focus. I do appreciate that there have and still are difficult times with Covid and the hospitality impact, but there are some things that you should not cut back on, especially as this is not a cheap restaurant."

"We had dinner here as a family. It was great! Very tasty food and a very nice team. Prices were reasonable. We have the GL beef burger (wth smoked bacon, melted cheese, gherkins, onion relish, mustard mayo, brioche bun chips), the Homemade Welsh beef lasagne (wth garlic bread mixed salad), the haddock (chilli coriander tempura haddock , sweet chilli dip) and the Thai Chicken Curry (Fragrant Thai green chicken curry, rice, popadom, mango chutney). Every single dish was delicious! No oversized portions. There was also a delicious Bluestone Ale, recommended by the waiter. Also very tasty! If it works out, we will most likely visit the restaurant a second time on our week long vacation. Definitely recommended! Food drinks: Every single dish was delicious!"

"We're here yesterday with our 5 and 7 years. they made the children half the pizzas for half the price of a full who were more than enough for each of them. my partner had a full-sized fish pizza that was amazing, and I had the chicken ktikka breast salad. everything was made fresh to order and was absolutely delicious. there are not many places where someone on the slender world ends as satisfied and as full as the pizza eaters in their party, but this place has made it! service was fast and pleasant and nothing was too much annoyed. the canteen would be highly recommended and can not expect to visit again."

"Had an average panini bacon and Brie today. Quite easily could have made better at home. No effort in presentation and the accompanying coleslaw was tasteless and lots of water in the bottom of the small dish it was served in. Crisps we’re nice tho : Asked if there was changing facilities to change my 5 month old baby and was told there was a mat in the toilet and that I could change him on the floor in the toilet or on the toilet seat itself. Safety and hygiene was not considered by the staff member I spoke to. (Not 100% sure but seemed to be more in charge so possibly owner or manager, not very friendly person . Wasn’t welcomed or greeted when we entered or when we went up to order. Simple hello, how are you? Too much to ask. On a positive the lady who bought our food out to us was lovely and made time to speak to us all. Shame as the place itself was nice.l and was looking forward to a nice lunch and a matter with a friend. Have given one star as no stars wasn’t allowed."

"This is a fantastic small traditional pub in Fishguard, featuring a lovely beer garden (with COVID-safe beer parking!). We visited for Sunday lunch, and although they were quite busy, there were plenty of vegan options available, including a fully vegan Sunday roast. The cake and sides I tried were delicious and very filling. The homemade onion rings were also excellent. Overall, it's a great spot for some authentic pub grub!"
