We had a fantastic New Year's Eve celebration at Browns in Bristol. The staff, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. Even though we don't visit Bristol frequently, we would definitely recommend dining here. The selection of cocktails was also fantastic!

we came to eat eve for christmas and were happy surprised. good place to eat on a date, family or girl night. not many elements on the menu, but the elements that are well executed, in presentation and taste. Drinks were delicious and esme treats us very well

The chicken schnitzel was overcooked and served with minimal greens, only a small amount of watercress, and undercooked fries. The restaurant's design with many hard surfaces likely contributed to high noise levels, which could have been disruptive during busy times. Voir le carte

Whilst the food and service were very good, it was very noisy (current terminology would probably describe it as ‘buzzy’ to the extent that we struggled to talk to each other. Probably a better place for the younger crowd who don’t mind this but we probably wouldn’t visit again for this reason.

The ambience was beautiful, the food amazing. Only hiccup was that the Yorkshire pudding was totally burnt to the point of inedible. When I gave feedback about the meal to the service staff, they simply say ok and moved on. A great Sunday roast must have a great Yorkshire pudding too. Serving an inedible component was disappointing. Generally as a whole, all other food was spot on!

Three out of four meals were okay,, though not exceptional, and one, the pork belly, very disappointing as it was tough, tasteless, and the mustard mash appeared to be missing the mustard. The starters came promptly and staff were friendly, but we waited at least another 30mins for our mains and had to chase them up as we were heading for a concert that evening. Food was not piping hot as if it had come from the kitchen which led us to believe it had been sitting awhile before coming to the table. The waitress who cleared the table took the negative report back to the kitchen and the offending item was removed from the bill, a positive touch.
