Lovely home cooked food great choice of 2 meats or steak pie and a good selection of vegetables. The staff are always nice and friendly .. would recommend this pub for food on any day of the week .

Booked a table today which you have to, it gets busy, my partner had the big Yorkshire pudding with sausage veg and chips, i had steak pie chips and veg with jam sponge and custard to follow, This is an OAP special for £10. We go in the evening still very reasonable. Definitely worth a try.

Another visit here. Not as busy this time, carpark being dug up but plenty of spaces unlike normal. Thursday evening meal at 6pm. Food fresh and reasonable, home cooked and fantastic service. If you like cordon bleu or haute cuisine don't bother but if you like home cooked food then this place is for you. My friend is a foodie and said she'd been but wasn't a fan but I can't fault it one it.

We made a reservation for a Friday evening and the restaurant was very busy. I ordered the steak pie with chips and vegetables, while my partner had the scampi. Both meals were delicious and we finished off our dinner with jam sponge and custard. We have visited a few times and also tried the OAP special, which includes lunch and dessert for £10. We collect Sunday lunch to takeaway from this restaurant most weekends. I have to say they really are excellent not only for the food, portion size but also for the price. I usually get beef and turkey but last week I decided to try the homemade beef pie and again I could not fault it. Everything comes in a good size tray, piping hot with the best succulent gravy. plenty of meat which crumbles at the touch and all the vegetables are fresh.

I haven't visited this restaurant in years, but I booked a table for four on a Friday lunchtime. The atmosphere is very much like a pub when you first enter, which I found to be charming. The service was friendly and welcoming, and they had a good selection of drinks to choose from. The menu wasn't too extensive, but it had something for everyone. The prices were extremely reasonable and the food was delicious and of high quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in a cozy and traditional setting. It's a shame that there aren't many places like this still around.

First off, book a table. We went at 1pm on a weekday, and it was ram packed. The food here is home cooked, fresh, and very reasonably priced. Steak was just under a tenner with choices of either veg or salad, then either potatoes or big home cooked chips. Comes with mushrooms, onion rings (the nice kind), and a grilled tomato. Friend A had jacket potato, which was about 7 quid with prawns in marie rose sauce and loads of salad and not just the kind that goes on there as an after thought, it was proper fresh with everything in there. Friend B had a special chicken sizzler with half rice/half chips and salad, I think this was just under a tenner as well. It's honestly my new favourite place to... Voir le carte
