"Stay away if you have any food restrictions!! When we booked the table, we informed that I needed gluten-free food because I have celiac disease. Arrived, I communicated the fact very clearly to the gluten-free options. The waiter elencate her in Swiss German when I already asked if he could speak English without showing her on the menu. Finally we order, I double check with the waiter 2 times that my order is gluten-free and it confirms. I get my first course, a tartar, without bread, because even if they knew someone with celiac disease, this night did not even come 1 piece of GF bread. But whatever. The second course comes, I ordered the lamb, really pretty. I started eating and realized that the cover tasted delicious. Before I take another bite, I ask the waiter whether it was really gluten-free. He confirms. But I see that he's running into the kitchen, which disturbs me because I already had a full bite of my meal. He comes back, not even in a hurry and tells me that my meal has gluten, not only the bread on the top, but also the meat was prepared with gluten ingredients! At this point I panic, knowing that 1 whole bite of bread formation would cause me 2 weeks of rash, pain, cramps, etc. plus the immunological consequences that come with the triggering of an autoimmune disease. Because yes, Zöliakie is an autoimmune disease and the restaurant solved my disease by feeding me gluten! It's not a joke and I would expect people to work in hospitality, how dangerous it can be. If I were allergic to fish and the guy would confirm it wasn't fish sauce in my meal??? Anyway, they offered me another record in exchange, but at this point I knew I had a maximum of 20 minutes before I felt sick, so I refused the offer. I waited for my friends to finish their meal (it is sad because the quality of food is good. Even if the white wine was served without something to keep it cool, but whatever) and we asked for the bill. After they poisoned me, they told me I didn't have to pay the meal I couldn't eat. Thank you for not coming to GET POISONED when I told you in advance and checked twice and three times in the restaurant. In 6 people, we paid almost 500 CHF to poison a person. Great. If you have allergies or celiac disease, stay away from there before they try to kill someone else."

This restaurant id at one of the nicest locations in Zurich inside the quiet courtyard of a former factory building. The vegan selection is very nice and all courses are covered but this is definitely not a cheap place. Updated from previous review on 2022-03-11

A modern restaurant with a good atmosphere. The menu looks interesting and the duck was delicious (albeit not blue). The risotto innovative, but not that delicious. Our waitress was very efficient but without a smile, a bit like grumpy mummy dealing with her teenage pratlets.

I love this restaurant, the service and the food were always impeccable. I have organized a team dinner here and again, it was faultless, in fact, my team are now all the big fans of this restaurant. I even bring my family here when they visit cannot praise the Blue Duck (Blue Duck) enough. Voir le carte

perfect atmosphere mixed with haute cuisine. Friendly waiters served the starters, which were soup and tartar. Very well spiced. Main course was duck and duck filled Ravioli. Our choice of dessert was chocolate creme brûlée and Amarillenknoedel. Every dish was a highlight and they have a well assorted wine selection.

This place has been open for business about as long as I have lived in Zurich. It is an evergreen and a stayer with good reason.Super menu, properly attentive service, super food. Even our foodie teenager was impressed. Super beef from Dieter Meier of Yello fame. Even pasta to take home; though if you want it, order it earlyAbout CHF 90 per head with little alcohol

I won't go into detail about the atmosphere or the food in that restaurant - it was good, but that didn't matter in the end. Despite the fact that we've ordered "mineral water", we were served with water in a reusable glass bottle - a common thing in case you order tap water. And even though it actually was tap water, the bill stated a CHF 9.50 charge for each bottle of the so called "Wellwasser". We went on to complain to the waiter that, if we order "mineral water", we expect actual brand mineral water bottles, for which we are okay to pay that amount of money. He explained that they don't carry branded mineral water bottles, and that the "Wellwasser" was actually more than just tap water.... Voir le carte

The restaurant looks amazing, very tastefully done up, great atmosphere inside and on the terrace. Staff are friendly, and fairly knowledgeable about the items on the menu, although easily tripped up by any nonstandard questions, like weather the fish of the day is coming from a lake or a river, but this isn’t a deal breaker for me. When we arrived, I was so hoping to be able to give this great looking restaurant a very good review, but the food was a huge disappointment. Cumin seems to be the signature spice at the Blaue Ente. It’s baked in the loaf of bread you get when you sit down, it must be in many of their dishes as well, because even though we were sitting outside, while we were eati...

Friends of our, who are sponsors of the Miller's Studio theatre next door, invited us to a dinner here, before going to the performance. It is all in a protected brick building of a former Belle Epoque mill and in the restaurant there is machinery from these days in the center, together with pipes along the ceiling, giving the place an atmosphere of charming industrial chic. Reservations, as we saw, are necessary. The place was quite full, when we went there, but a table for us was kept free, and the staff had been informed beforehand that we would go to the studio. Thus there had also not been any delays in the service.Coming to the service, we were all very pleased by the way we were taken...

"I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for the last few months. It is a very homely restaurant with a reasonably nice design. The food is good but unfortunately there is little choice. The menu salad is always the same and the second menu is always risotto with chicken in different sauces, although the white risotto that is always available is very good and the chicken is sometimes over-fried. The ravioli are very good but rather a small portion. What I miss about the restaurant is the relationship with the guests. Although they are very friendly, they unfortunately lack the personal commitment that makes you feel comfortable and come back so that it becomes a part of my life. As far as the culinary is concerned, it is very limited, which I think is a shame because Italian cuisine would offer so many possibilities to surprise the guest with different dishes. But I also understand that you are limited in your choice of food due to the space. What I unfortunately miss is this personal commitment, which would be possible at this size of restaurant. I think it's a shame that there's no spaghetti. Go by and see for yourself. What I miss is the warmth that you should show your regular customers. Simply the personal conversation that defines the top restaurants in Zurich. Nevertheless, I wish the restaurant much success. Maybe my criticism will bring something positive. I definitely wish the restaurant much success."

In Zürich gibt genug andere, bessere Thai-Restaurants."
