The inn looks amazing, the staff were welcoming Alice helped my wife chose a lovely white wine . Sarah the manageress was absolutely wonderful as she was so thoughtful towards us as my wife had just recently lost her Mother. The food was fabulous.

Worse meal ever steak tough,supposed to be ribeye think it was rump,tasteless,bad presented,prawn cocktail,more lettuce,than u can cope with ,prawns cheap budget tasteless, and chewy and hard to swallow very bland bread toasted no butter and very hard.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I've been calling to try and book Christmas day, asking for a menu, been fobbed off each time with promises of a Christmas menu, today I phoned up to be told it's now fully booked. I will NEVER go there again and I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to bother!! Voir le carte

Great Sunday lunch here you couldn’t fault it , super food good value for money but the best thing was the presentation of hot tasty meat and vegetables After trying several local restaurants this was by far the best Well done Di the manager and Jake behind the bar We will certainly be going again

The Blagdon is a fantastic choice for parties and Sunday roasts. I booked the function room for my celebration and found the space to be great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The following day, I returned for their carvery and was pleased with the delicious food and excellent service. I highly recommend visiting The Blagdon.

Such a hidden gem of a place, we are local to the area and would highly recommend. Came on a Sunday and enjoyed such a delightful roast dinner, staff are all friendly. Great atmosphere. Manager was lovely. It was my daughters birthday and we told them and they made it so special for her. We don’t eat out very often so when we do it’s nice to feel looked after and eat proper decent food. Will return soon and recommend to friends and family Voir le carte

It's disappointing that a restaurant with so much promise turned out to be unwelcoming. Upon entering, we immediately felt the cold atmosphere, with even the bartender wearing a coat. The fireplace was not even lit, there was no background music, and the overall vibe was reminiscent of a community center. The selection of beer and wine was lacking, giving the impression that the restaurant may be closing down. There was no evidence of food being prepared, so we cannot comment on that aspect.

I've visited this pub on 2 separate occasions once for steak night and most recently for a drink. One of the steaks were cooked medium as apposed to medium to well done, a second steak was cooked but sadly was pretty much the same! Secondly this is another smaller business that has sadly decided to go cashless and clearly don't understand the bigger picture! It is discrimination to not expect cash and a human right to be able to have the choice to pay using cash as it is still a legal tender! Despite all of this the pub has a good atmosphere and most of the staff seem friendly and helpful!

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We were ignored for 45 minutes despite it being a table service establishment. The restaurant does not have table numbers, which made it confusing. The photos on the website are outdated and do not reflect the current look of the place, which resembles a community center. It was cold inside as there was no heat, and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The table next to us had to return three out of four steaks to the kitchen during their steak night. Despite this, we received no service during our visit. We paid for our drinks and left without any acknowledgement of the issues.
