"Perfection! We’ve drooled in the window at this place quite often and finally tried today. What an experience! After a half of Wylam Hickey the Rake (just one of the great local beers on draught while we pondered the extensive menu we opted for a couple of lindisfarne oysters (huge and so fresh , langoustines and scallops to start and the halibut and stone bass mains. The food was all superb and we washed it down with excellent languedoc wine. (The drinks menu is as good as the food! We even made room for dessert! The service charge was added but optional (just to correct one review on here and I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to tip the lovely friendly people who work here. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed with beautiful sea views. What a gem! I highly recommend to any seafood lovers and can’t wait to go back."

"We ate here on Saturday the14th of October and what a delight. I had filled spinach and ricotta pasta with a garlic and mushroom sauce and I can honestly say it was amazing! My husbands calzone was huge with plenty of sauce to go with it. My sister in law and partner had pizza which they loved(my sis had to take half of hers away with her. I must say a big shout out and huge thanks to the gentleman serving everyone, he never had a minute but no-one was left waiting and he was always curteous and friendly, can highly recommend."

"I made a reservation at Jaspers for myself and a guest on the 22nd. We were promptly greeted and seated. The restaurant had a charming and cozy decor. We ordered drinks, including a delicious Lychee cocktail. Our starters, the pan fried squid and langoustines, arrived in about 10 minutes and were outstanding. The squid dish had a fantastic sauce, and the langoustines were plentiful and succulent. For our main course, we enjoyed a whole sea bream and Linguine. The portion sizes were generous, the fish was moist and flavorful, and the seafood in the linguine was plentiful and diverse. The service throughout the meal was attentive, courteous, and efficient. Overall, I would give Jaspers a 5-star rating as it was a delightful surprise."

"Enjoyed scones, cake and drinks in the day time but then this place transforms into a candle lit bistro in the evening with an interesting menu supplemented by seafood specials. Excellent food, wine and service. Tables are a bit tight but a lovely meal. Recommend booking well ahead as they had the full sign out every afternoon mid week in September. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"Great food and staff were friendly and helpful. The sun was out so we sat outside and ordered something to eat. We had a steak burger which was thick and succulent and the fries red hot and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle along with bacon brie and cranberry sandwich on gluten free bread again was great. Normally glutten free bread isn't great but this was good! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. . . . Dietary restrictions: Great option of gluten free items"
