This is a fantastic local hotel and bar with very friendly staff, excellent food, and great prices.

Our experience at Sanday was quite disappointing, as the restaurant was closed, which left us without any options for lunch or dinner.

Dropped in here for a bite of lunch on our cycle around Sanday. Another friendly local made us sandwiches. Good local beer and rhubarb soda. Right by kettletoft harbour complete with seals.

I had a wonderful experience during my first visit to the restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it easy to enjoy my meal. The food was well-prepared and flavorful. Just the right amount of salt!

We always stop in past the Belsair whilst in Sanday visiting family and the food is always very good. Soups for lunch are great and are really a meal on their own with the generous portions. Staff are pleasant and friendly, always giving a warm welcome. Not a bad pint either! Voir le carte

Sarah delivered outstanding service for both our drinks and lunch. She was very accommodating and ensured that the menu catered to our preferences. Three of us ordered fish prepared in various styles, while I opted for the veggie burger. The restaurant boasted a lovely atmosphere and offered excellent value for the price. They also had a nice selection of local beverages.

Five of us made a reservation in advance for lunch to guarantee we had a table. Four of us chose fresh haddock and chips, prepared in different styles: battered, baked, and breaded. The meal came with tasty chips and peas, and we finished with delightful desserts, including a Nickerbocker Glory. We also savored some coffee. Everyone truly enjoyed the meal, and we would love to visit this restaurant more often if we were lucky enough to live on this beautiful island!

After many attempts, I finally managed to visit THE BELSAIR. This isn't because it wasn't open, but rather because it was closed whenever I was available to go. The venue struck me as beautiful and well-maintained. Inside, it looks renovated and very clean. I came with my in-laws for a Sunday meal, where they offered a self-service option. This included a wide variety of dishes and the first drink for only £14.95. I actually tried a little bit of everything because I wanted to taste it all and also to write about it here.
