"I have to say I was very surprised how bad my experience was with the Spice Merchant was. It started very badly with the food taking two hours to be delivered. This was after several calls over that period where we were told that the food was on its way and should be with us in five minutes. That was a bad start but the food was just as bad. The only saving grace were the starters of chicken lamb lollipops which were tasty. The main courses were all very disappointing, lacking spice and flavour. They were also swimming in oil. The breads were also flavourless. I don’t like to give reviews like this but in this case it is well deserved especially as it was extremely expensive. £150 for five people. For that kind of money it should have been allot better. Worst curry I have had I recent memory! Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40"

"This year, we decided to celebrate Christmas at this restaurant. Our group consisted of 23 people, including 4 children. The team and food were exceptional. The staff were friendly and very attentive, and the food was delicious, particularly the starters. A big thank you to everyone at the Mediterranean for ensuring that we had a fantastic Christmas Day! "Such a shame as the Food was outstanding, however we were not made to feel very welcome, the staff were quite awkward. One of us ordered a main which didn't come with any side, this should have been mentioned when placing the order and a side should have been offered, when our food arrived and this was queried and we were told that it doesn't come with a side At just gone on a Saturday night, the fire exit door was locked open, our table was in direct line with the door and we had a cold draught (it's February). This meant that we did not stay for coffee and we asked for the bill. We did mention this to the staff when we left and was told that it was opened as it gets smoky from the fire, however the fire was not even lit. For this caliber of restaurant and food, we would have expected much better service especially as this was charged at If the service would have been more friendly and accommodating then we would have had an evening to remember for the right reasons."

"the Thai prawn pizza is delicious. the fresh half-kalk up there is really much fresh aroma. bravo. we have taken away: 0lder review I have brought my first pizza here before. it was delicious 5/5. the paprika were slightly sweet and tasted good. can not wait to try the complete menu again. Oh, there are many covered seating in the open. ...... older assessment below. now are back and they have the normal 3 courses on which is great. starter was great with moules marinate with petersilie, saw and white wine sauce. really nice. I had a towel to wipe the hands instead of the serviette. the main was an 8oz ribeye with pfefferkorn sauce, which was very good and medium rare what was great. I wish I had more green than the salate, and the lyonnaiskartoffles were good. I forced myself to have a desert that was sticky to pudding with salted caramel ice. loved the crunchy of karamell, but wished there was a bit more ice than I ran out to the end. it was not cheap, but then the prices are on a par with similar restaurants in the opposite. the pizza is still delicious and in my own is the best in a virgin head and it is also to take away. crispy flat chest the works is great. get them extra mushrooms. it is still beautifully made and the beauty out of the back is actually more luxurious than the main pub. we would go back, yes"

"It was a fantastic experience for our team. Amazing 3 course meal with lip smacking and authentic Indian taste. Extremely friendly staff and top notch service. Landlord Mr. Nandu is a gem of a person and ensured all of us had an awesome time at the restaurant. Outdoor seating area was just perfect for the weather and Ample car parking space was a huge relief. I am coming back again soon. Thank you for your hospitality Vegetarian options: All the starters, Paneer and chhole curry were delicious. Kid-friendliness: It is kids friendly and kids had a great time too"
