"Since there are many non Portuguese restaurants in the "Portuguese Quarter" in Hamburg, we paid attention to go to a Portuguese restaurant and were quite satisfied with our choice. Beira-Rio calls itself a fish restaurant, so most of the dishes are based on fish or mussels. Except for salad there are no vegetarian options, but when I asked them, I received a great dish with mushroom and some kind of potatoe crisps. It tasted good and was plentiful. My colleagues also liked their food. Service was very attentive and nice. For Hamburg standards prices are quite reasonable."

We searched for a Portuguese restaurant in Hamburg and came out by this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and did everything to give us a nice evening. The food was very nice and we enjoyed the night.

A really nice Portugese restaurant in Hamburg. Book a table for Friday or Saturday, we haven't booked and there were no tables at all for Saturday evening.....but finally on Sunday for lunch, we got a table. Together with the owners whom joined their lunch too in the restaurant.

We ordered a "Bacalhau à moda da casa" that should be the masterpiece of the house. The taste was not bad, but didn't taste like a real Portuguese cod dish. The chips were horrible. The service was unfriendly and slow and we sat on a horrible and uncozy seat on a tight corner. The wine was good though.

We came here on the heel of visiting Portugal.Our group ordered grill cod, mussels, seafood rice, and steak.The portions are generous. I tasted the grill cod, mussels, and seafood rice.I did not like the seasoning of the mussels. The cod seems a bit salty.The seafood rice was on point, as good as the ones I tried in Portugal: plenty of seafood, seasoned well, rice was not too tough.I did not try the steak, but it looks very good.

Lovely Portuguese restaurant, which is always busy, but if they are pushed, you can eat on the bar. Be warned. Go hungry. The portions are huge. Grilled salmon is actually one and a half salmon steaks with vegetables and salad. The fish kebabs are also lovely, but I cannot manage to eat the whole portion alone. Staff are friendly. I studied in Portugal so I know Portuguese cooking well. This places is great. I will definatelly visit again.

We were given a table with no problem, many of the others appeared to be reserved if not in use...clearly this place is popular!We were served quickly and there was an atmosphere that was fun and positive throughout. Food was extremely good... look for the grilled sardines.....larger than whitebait - very succulent!!! We also had the Paella Valencia - we would recommend this to everyone to try. A great evening and we would definitely go there again.

The service will be bad or, lets say strange. There is the high chance to find an alcoholized waiter serving you, which is not dangerous but very, very uncomfortable. It is far from being within the best restaurants in Landunsbrücken but it is also not the worst. If the top 4/5 restaurants are full, this is not a bad option, you will eat much worst on the main street.The main problem of this restaurant is the amount of times they change the cook and this as a direct influence on costumer experience.
