"We love Bayards Cove so much that we choose our accommodation based on its proximity to the restaurant. This visit was just as excellent as always. The staff are incredibly friendly and always remember us from previous visits. The food is fresh and of high quality, served on beautiful crockery in a wonderful atmosphere. They even go the extra mile for children, making it a great restaurant for any time of day. We have already enjoyed two breakfasts, a dinner, and coffee, and we are only halfway through our holiday. Thank you as always."

After a rainy and dreary day, our family dinner was a pleasant experience. The restaurant's beautiful building, professional staff, and delicious food made our evening enjoyable. The food was better than the service. We waited 15 minutes to give our order and the waiter was quite curt for no apparent reason. I will also add that I do not like to dine with animals in the same enclosed room. When a dog stands and shakes out his fur, I find it incongruous with the attempt to enjoy a fine dinner. Outside at a cafe is one thing. Inside a supposedly upscale restaurant does not seem appropriate or in any way clean.

We have eaten regularly at Bayards Cove over the last four years. The atmosphere, surroundings and wait staff have always been very welcoming. However this year I was disappointed with the meal I ordered. I understood it was a fillet of bass with some additional crab meat. I was given a small half fillet and some brown crab meat. I also had some roast potatoes and a parmesan salad but I did not feel it was worth £22. I left feeling disappointed.
