"Update: February 2024: We still love going to Bauernhof. The service and food continue to be great. We've come to know Reto, who has served us a number of times and who has made our visits to Bauernhof a pleasure. We also enjoy that the restaurant has ample parking space. Its also very close to a bus-stop on the Baar/Zug transport route. Its open on Sundays until late. Menu highlights include, the parmesan crusted lamb fillet, the gorgonzola gordon bleu, and their apple cake. Highly recommended! November 2023: We love this authentic Swiss restaurant. Great menu. The pan fried lamb fillet is fantastic. The restaurant offers an upmarket experience, set in a traditional refurbished farm building. Spacious layout. Great for a quick lunch, and equally good for a romantic dinner of family event. Lots of parking. Highly recommended"

The food was fine, but not much else. Prices are too expensive and portions too small. For this price you can expect more.

We had Wiener Schnitzel with a big salad (special order) and Cordon Bleu with french fries and vegetables. Both were delicious.

That day the service was overwhelmed. Lots of customers and no staff access. The chef came to the table to ask if we were happy. I really enjoyed it. In the end our credit card was charged twice, the staff was not very attentive. Voir le carte

This place is simply wonderful. Often very busy, particularly on weekends. The food is consistently not-notch. Prices are high, but not crazy and the food is certainly worth every penny. Beautiful dining rooms and consistently great service!

We have been visiting the farm for many years always satisfied. Since the change of tenant we have eaten there twice, twice disappointed. When I asked if we could speak to the boss, the answer was that she would be at home all weekend because she had to be there for the three children.

If you have known this restaurant for a long time and know what it was like to be a guest there, then .... . I have a certain incomprehension as to how one can get a rating of 4 or even 5 stars today. My personal opinion: In this restaurant the guest is unwinded . You never feel like you 're really welcome. So it 's not even that noticeable that you 're not being seen off you 've paid. Experiencing the joy of gastronomy looks a little different for me! Voir le carte

We have stopped by the farm a few times and always thought it was great. Since the change of host, we have heard from various quarters that the service is no longer good. Now we wanted to see for ourselves and were absolutely satisfied. The service is top. The food, as always, was very good. The price alone is rather in the upper limit for what is on offer. This could be reconsidered at a time when the restaurant has to prove itself again in order to satisfy many guests again.

We have eaten here multiple times, for business lunch with clients and also with family and every time we have enjoyed the food. The service is good, but can be a bit slow during peak times during lunch. We have really enjoyed the food there,...with a very large selection of menu items, including a nice selection of meat and fish dishes, always cooked very well. In the summer you can sit outside underneath the big trees, which is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon. The restaurant is about 5 minute drive up the hill from Zug, so it is not walking distance if you work in downtown Zug. Reservations for peak lunch and dinner times are a must!

Wiederholungsfaktor gering!"
