Auf Schoenburg Burghotel und Restaurant

eating was good... not spectacular, but good. breakfast buffet was typical German meat, cheese, fruit and paste. the view from the terrace is fantastic.

Although they were in any case empty, a rude staff informed us that they only take the hotel guests partly with a view of the river. This can be acceptable if they are full, but was rude when they have zero guests.

Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. I would like people to wear masks in the interior and that the air of the restaurant would be regularly renewed, which was not the case at all. So I hope there will be no bad memory of this wonderful stay.

this place is as real as it can be. Yes, they still wear a historical dress that gives a bit more disney than it needs, but this is a really memorable place in a wonderful city with a unique area and a fantastic view. visit or stay better. wonderful place.

Having stayed here three times, it is clear we like the place! The quality and presentation of the food are outstanding! True for dinner and breakfast both! The setting, outside high above the Rhine on the scenic terrace of the restaurant( or,if inclement, also lovely in fine old atmospheric dining rooms full of character) only enhance the ding experience. Top quality service!

my brother was in the city, so we made a trip along the Rhine to see the many castles. on the road we stopped at lunch on schloss Schönburg. I have to say it was the perfect stopover, and now I plan to bring my wife to a weekend. the restaurant staff was very friendly and the view of the river up and down was spectacular. we enjoyed a table in the open, which made the short stop perfect. I enjoyed a light lunch with her hearty ham cheese cake with salat; paired with her organic beer. between sunshine, visibility, service and wonderful eating I found myself in the perfect location. I look forward to my return.

It was very nice to stay in the castle and had dinner at the same time. All employees are very friendly and accommodating. We started our dinner at 18:30, so we arrived the first customers in the restaurant. The menu was fixed and the table setting was elegant. The beverage list is like a vintage dictionary. We just ordered 2 glasses of white wine. After that there was a chap us another kind of wine, Blue Pino Noir, which was pretty and smooth. Also the service was excellent and the foods were wonderful. Especially the Sous Vide cooked calf fillet. It was very delicate and succulent. We really love it. We had very good time at the restaurant.

the hotel and restaurant are both simply spectacular. visited with my children, my sisters and their children and our elders. the children loved the idea “to sleep in a castle” and were enchanted all night and explored the museum (must be seen for children) and the gardens the next morning. the evening meal was a wonderful 2 hour opportunity with many (6?) walks and pairings local wee with each other gang. the service was excellent at dinner and on the ground in general. let her baggage at her car and the baggage carrier brings it up with the golf cart. only the road is about 5 steps plus the stairs as soon as they are within the structure. room 31 was great for a family and no. 11 was excel...

we were here for two nights in the week before Christmas! despite a shaky start (there was a confusion with our reservation and we were led into the wrong room) this was probably the high point of our Christmas tour through Germany!
