as we stayed here, we decided to eat in the restaurant, and it was a good choice because eating was very good.

I was the first time in this historic restaurant and was served by junior chief. good bourgeois ambiente in the weinstube. the food was good and the greeting from the kitchen was a nice surprise.

the hotel has a traditional location, has been rebuilt a few years ago and is managed by the current owner for a few years. the rich foods are prepared by the learned metzger and chef chef. a beautiful beer garden completes the excellent hospitality in summer.

as a group of 18 people, we were not served in the beer garden for half an hour, although not much was going on. the pre-reserved table for the evening depted as several tables in the breakfast room, which were not even covered. we were not served there for half an hour. on our request to put together a common big table, was very pampering and pointed out that "in our old" you can also sit on separate tables. we have not eaten after further insults.

for the opening of an extended week end in oberwesel, we here enjoyed a multi-course menu that we set ourselves together. beforehand we were recommended by the friendly and accommodating upper, which is the sohn of the peculiar, an aperitif that was delicious and refreshing. also the foods were very good, abundant and appealing served. overall it was a successful evening with excellent eating in cozy ambiente. the price/performance ratio is definitely true here. we recommend this restaurant.

we arrived at 4th shortly after 17 o'clock. to dinner, as we had to attend a event at 7:00 a.m. this restaurant is only one of two restaurants in oberwesel, which opens before 18 o'clock. we were immediately greeted by the owner and she led us to a table in the dining room. three of us speak only English, so the owner came and helped us with our orders. we were all very satisfied with our meal times, which were served quickly and directly from the pan, and we have eaten every bite! we will come back in oberwesel at our next visit.
