Booked via OpenTable received email confirmation. When we arrived there was no record of our booking the young lad âhuffed puffedâ because it meant they had to open up another section of the restaurant. Please Ask chain, can you have proper wine glasses ??

Absolutely fantastic evening at Ask Lichfield. The food was delicious and service impeccable (especially given it was an extremely busy Christmas Saturday evening). Really impressed with the team and such a change to get the best service from a chain restaurant. Thank you!

There was no reservation when we arrived, even though I had received an email in confirmation and was able to show this as proof of booking. We felt a little bit as though it was our fault and consequently had to wait for our food. It was our Christmas meal and we dined from the Christmas menu, but there was nothing else Christmassy. However, the food was very good and was a reasonable price.

Booked through open table restaurant told us they'd had problems with notifications from the site and had no knowledge of the booking but nevertheless we were seated mins later others arriving on-spec were turned away. Service excellent. Staff very polite. Lovely olive bread with oil and balsamic to start. Excellent pasta and seafood with a real kick of chilli. Good calzone well filled with chicken. Too full for pudding. Recommend the Peroni Royale.
