"My husband and I met friends here this afternoon. Luckily we sat at a large table so could spread out and there was plenty of room for all our food and drinks. We enjoyed various starters to share, arrancini balls, king prawns, mushrooms al forno, calamari and chips. Our friends opted for pasta dishes, we all enjoyed our food very much. It was my friend, Madeleine’s birthday, the waitress brought over a tiramisu with a candle, nice touch. We all enjoyed our visit to ASK, in fact the waitress recognised us from last year. This restaurant is a good choice for couples and friends. A member of staff called us a cab as requested which was appreciated. Thanks to you all for a lovely afternoon/evening"

Food was nice but no way worth the money and very expensive for drinks and portions very poor and was seated by the door and everyone kept leaving to door open the delivery driver were the worst

Very poor service. Waited nearly an hour before the kids starters are out which was just carrot sticks and bread. Took nearly 2 hours for just 1 course. It put us under pressure to get to the show on time. Very disappointing, won't come back.

Spent a night stopover in Birmingham recently. A bit wet so thankfully the Ask Italian was virtually opposite the hotel . Easy to book . Good choice of meals available. Great service from staff even though they were understaffed . So friendly and efficient. Food was lovely. Would go again and would recommend Voir le carte

Group of friends out for a work reunion. Cheerful atmosphere with reasonable balance between speed of service and leaving us to chatter. Didn't hear any complaint about the food and mine was excellent. Spicy dough balls followed by a pizza. Good sized helpings. Our waitress was pleasant and competent. Dealt with a complicated billing arrangement very cheerfully thank you. We will be back.

As someone who recently moved to UK I wanted to try Ask Italian. For starters we ordered Burrata and fried lasagne balls. The Burrata was enjoyable and creamy however the lasagne balls were dry and tasteless for my liking. For mains we both ordered pasta and they were both okay. Nothing crazy good or bad just your average pasta which can be cooked easily at home. I feel like there are better Italian restaurants in Birmingham to visit.
