"I've been a couple of times recently and found the food from the main menu (although huge portions to be very oily. Service is dependent on whoever attends to you, ranging from good to mediocre. My main disappointment, however, is that when the restaurant clears at around 9pm (is that a local thing? we feel pressurised to leave as soon as possible afterwards: no offer of dessert or tea/coffee, staff loitering with an air of intent to table-wipe at a moment's notice, zilch atmosphere and no effort to create one. We wouldn't want to sit until midnight but for some of us a meal out IS a night out, not just a precurser to something else."

Visiting a family member and decided to try Anya’s Very good value for money, hot when arrived with generous portions. The mixed pakora for 2 was excellent and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their curries. Would recommend.

There was not a lot of meat in the curry, mostly just sauce. We waited for an hour for our main course to be served. The plates were too small and the server struggled to fit them on the table. The staff was pleasant, but I would hesitate to return. Voir le carte

The naan breads are stunning. The service is great. Shame the sauces are thin and lack punch. My biggest problem though is how little meet there was. It is simply taking the bleep. I really feel sorry for someone who likes rice as iam giving it 3 stars just for the naan!!

We love Indian food and we’re so excited that Anaya’s was nearby for a takeaway....we were disappointed Nan was greasy, as was the tikka masala. Veg option was so over cooked it was slimey and non of the food smelt appealing. Sorry to say we won’t order again and can’t recommend.

It has taken them twice as long as they initially promised to prepare our order, and we have now been waiting for 50 minutes for 4 kebabs. The food itself is only average. The most memorable part of our visit to Anaya's was the interesting decorations in their front room, which included various items related to chainsaw carving. Voir le carte

I had a wonderful dining experience at Kilbirnie last week. The meal was delicious and served hot. I couldn't find any faults with it. The starters were excellent and the staff were attentive and professional. It was great value for the money. However, my friends who went to Largs Indian on Friday were very disappointed. They said it started off well but then went downhill. The staff, consisting of two young girls, seemed inexperienced. There was no ice cream available and the buffet was cold with some dishes empty. Come on Largs, step up your game and provide better service for the locals who rely on you.

It is a couple of years since I visited Anaya’s and was delighted to find the same delicious ,Asian cuisine.I had forgotten the huge sharing platter of starters which is a great appetiser. All of our dishes were welcomed with great enthusiasm and the generous portions I remembered. My chicken tandoori was cooked to perfection, deep spicy flavour yet melt in mouth tender. My only suggestion(nothing to do with the food or the friendly attentive staff)could the budget run to some new carpet for the vestibule and replacement tiles around the sign. The appearance ,as you enter does not reflect the hidden joys which await you inside.

"We were a party of 5, on a cold, very wet Saturday evening, coldest so far I would say! We drew up and saw a young family of 3 sitting with jackets on in the conservatory area, we were a bit concerned! We took a...seat at the back of the conservatory which proved to be a big mistake! There was a terrible draught coming from behind me, I did mention it and was told it was 27c at the middle of the room, but not where we were sitting!! I mentioned it a few times and sat with my shawl scarf on throughout! I pulled down the window blinds hoping that would help, nope!! We ordered our food, I asked about a vegetarian option for my husband, our waitress did say he could a veggie option on the curry and the tempura or risotto, which was helpful! I had to ask what was the soup of the day and also the pate!! I did feel that maybe in this day and age there should have been a small dedicated vegetarian area on the menu, but that’s just my opinion! 3 of our party had starters which were great, Cullen skink, scallops and langoustine tempura, Main courses arrived, 3 fish and chips, one lemon soul and one veggie tempura, all were excellent except for the veggie tempura which was large shards of onion and carrot in an albeit lovely batter, but not all vegetarians like huge chunks of vegetables! 4 of our party had a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, which was plentiful! Overall we had a pleasant meal, little or no atmosphere though, one of the younger waitresses (white shirt, black skirt) was friendly and more talkative, the waitress (dressed all in black)who served us was, we all felt a little disinterested and lacked any empathy with the guests! We asked for our bill, the youngest waitress came with the card machine and felt how cold it was only then did she check the windows to find there was one opened, hence the draught, which spoiled our visit because we were felling it cold!! We paid the bill and left a tip on the plate, no one came to say thank you for you custom, or have a nice evening, nothing!! All in all it was pretty inhospitable! Value you for money, it was good for the standard of the food!"
