Al Dente - Carte

We visited as a party of six (and a little one!). The service was faultless, the food was outstanding, especially the pumpkin gnocchi which was mouth watering. The price was also very reasonable compared to other restaurants we visited. Easy to recommend.

I visit here once a year with 18-20 study abroad students. Afrim makes sure we have a great group experience. The atmosphere is perfect and the food is wonderful. I usually get either lasagna or shrimp scampi. Students were very happy with the meal. Easy to get to on the M4 tram.

Having had a rather disastrous start to the evening by leaving a purse on the tram our waiter at Al Dente saved the night! We arrived after 10pm which having worked in hospitality myself I know is not particularly favoured by waiters or chefs, however when he found out what had happened he pulled out all the stops to turn our night around! My friends and I enjoyed a lovely evening with delicious food and a very attentive waiter. I opted for a Paglia e fieno con punte di filetto e porcini which was very interesting with the green and white (hay and straw) pasta. My friends had an enjoyable Mozarella caprese and a Spaghetti alla carrettera. This was all washed down with a very palatable Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.

I visit here at least once during an annual study-abroad trip. We do a group dinner with 12-20 students. They love it and return on their own other nights. Service is very professional, the menu is varied and the low-light ambience is just right. Afrim goes the extra mile to see that everyone is satisfied. They stay open late, too. Al Dente is super close to the M4 Hufelandstrasse tram stop.

We visited this restaurant on 9th August and was absolutely blown away by how great the service was. The gentleman server made us feel extremely comfortable, was friendly and helpful and treated us to a complimentary shot afterwards. The food was gorgeous. The lasagne was not too heavy and the panna cotta was creamy, light and lovely. We're often in Berlin and this was been a regular visit now we've tried it. Couldn't recommend it any higher. The restaurant was never briliant, but this time as we went there with friends to eat lunch we have to wait such a long time to even get the menu (do they have only 3? or is the crew so busy?), but what was the least enjoyable - when we finally got our food, almost all the pizzas was raw! My was tasting like a thin rubber, another was with raw flour inside. Never again. Right around the corner you can find another restaurant, with really good pizza. Here no.

Situated just around the corner from our accommodations, this wonderful Italian restaurant was warm, welcoming and inviting! We dined here on two occasions during our stay, once with our teenagers who enjoyed pizza perfection! The staff were attentive, and when asked provided an english/italian menu for us. Their wine selection was broad enough to accommodate even the budget conscious diner. We allowed our server to make a recommendation, and both times were very pleased with the selection. Besides the pizza selections, their menu included seafood, meats, and hearty vegetables all with distinctive Italian flavor. Wonderfully relaxed setting, even though it is situated on a busy Strasse. After having a long walk through the city of Berlin we came back to our neighbourhood almost at 10 PM. We didn´t know any restaurant there and were hungry and tired. So, we saw this restaurant near tram stop Hufelandstreet at Greifenwalder Street and went there.The night was warm and we could sit outside. Service was polite but quick - we got our aperitive drinks so we could choose main course and wine for it in no hurry. We got big green salad beforehand and it too was tasty with light oily dressing. Then we ate grilled calf liver with asparagus and potatos. Really delicious! We have ordered liver in many restaurants but quite many times had a disappointment - here it was extremely good. Al...
