"This small, simple bar definetely deserves its high position in TA Portonovo restaurants ranking. We stopped in Portonovo on our way back from Combarro to A Lanzada as it seemed like a busy town (meaning a lot places where we can have a lunch . Looking for A Bodeguina we climbed the stairs leading to rua Mendez Nunez and found the bar. The plain menu comprises of typical Spanish dishes with a lot of seafood. We tried the following: piece of tortilla, berberechos (cockles , gambas (prawns and unsual croquetas de chipirones (squid croquettes . I'll start with the last one as it was the first time (and I will add that it was my fifth visit to Spain that I encountered such croquettes they are lamost black inside as they get the colour from the squid ink. Not one of my favourite tastes but quite good and an interesting culinary experience. Plus a break from omnipresent croquetas de jamon : Prawns and cockles were delicious. Tortilla was also very tasty. Seafood racions were large. We also had a small beer and the total bill came to 24 euros (small tip included for two persons. Very good value for your money simply a place to go when you visit Portonovo."

We ate clams, mussels, pulo a feira, squid and potatoes. It was a good experience but the waiter was a bit rude. Maybe he was stressed. If you go there and want to have a drink, ask for the tapa, they are very good.

Probably A Bodeguiña is one of the most endearing place in Portonovo. The atmosphere of the bar is a mix between tradition and innovation. There aren 't a big number of dishes in the menu, instead of this, all dishes are the best quality. You can try one of the best octopus in the area, the croquetas are amazing. Zorza Jamon Asado , Pimientos de Padrón ... all is awesome. Each time I visit Portonovo, go to A Bodeguiña . I absolutely recommend this place.
