"We visited the Piraeus The Port of the City on 17.06.2019 for a small lunch at 13:00. In front of the restaurant some tables were ready for guests who like to sit in the fresh air. The sun shined and the outside temperatures left to feel very fast. The restaurant was already known as Piraeus In the windlight at the Deutsche Ring, but a few years ago moved to Wuppertal Barmen to the Werther Brunnen. The interior is very sober and is not overloaded with kitsch from all corners and ends. It becomes cozy inside when the restaurant is well visited and thereby adjusts itself to a pleasant atmosphere. We took space outside. After a short time the restaurant owner received us and handed us the menu. In addition to the normal menu, it also contained other inserts with the lunch card. From this card I chose Souvlaki and my father chose from the menu the Fileto Arni (Lammfilet with pepper cream sauce), with patates and salad. As an appetizer we took the Ktipiti (also Chtipiti or Tyrokafteri). The drinks were also included and served quite quickly with the appetizer. Anyone who has already read my other reviews knows I love the Ktipiti. And this Ktipiti was just as I like it and as I think it should taste: smitten sheep cheese with paprika, peperoni or chili. The paste was very nice creamy and reads easily on the bread with it just delicious! After the start-up, the main dishes came and both looked delicious when looking. And it was: The Lamfilet was soft and juicy and the broccoli was bite-resistant. The potato croquettes are an alternative, but I think it would have been better for the Greek Patates, as they were sent to Souvlaki. But that was my father's choice. And also the souvlaki were really delicious: well seasoned but not overgrown. The red paste was quite sharp and unfortunately did not match the Souvlaki. We chose a rosé and a large apple choir. FAZIT: From the past we knew the quality of the dishes of Piraeus, which I also reflected on 17.06.2019. Prices: 1x Ktipti € 4,00 1x Souvlaki € 7,80 1x Fileto Arni € 17,00 1x glass Rosé 1x large glass apple choir Summa summarum we paid about € 30,00, where the lamb fillet was the most expensive food. But it was worth it despite lunchtime. I can recommend the Piraeus The Port of the City of Good conscience."

"Pizza does not exist, but modernly interpreted classics as well as constantly changing and for us new daily recommendations. A Wiener Schnitzel can also be found on the clear standard map....Italian cuisine with international influences. In December there was even a goose menu. I don't even know how many times we've been here since the opening in early September last year, we were satisfied at any of our visits, only the Bobbies had a bit bad luck with the shrimps in garlic as an appetizer. Now a few small impressions: On the way, fresh bread is served with various dips and olive oil....the photo is lost. Sous vide cooked veal/ tuna sauce/karamellized capers 11,50 Excellent Vitello.... next time, please present a little more tonnato, so I like and taste it better than with some standard Italians. Antipasti for 1 person 8.50 On request without fish and marine animals. Special requests, if possible, are not a problem. The antipasti can also be ordered for 2 persons at 15,50? To date, I had to taste choirs with milkaioli and crustacean foam about 20, from the daily ticket Lasagne a la nonna Angela 11,50 Tagliatelle with beef in colorful pepper cream sauce and mascarpone 14,50 salmon fillet/orangen gin sauce from the daily ticket pork fillet/Gorgonzola sauce/ apple/walnut 16,90 Crègome brûlée Further insights can be found in “Photos”. The ingredients used are super fresh and of very good quality. “From the bag” surely does not come “in the bag”....and sauces can be used. The restaurant is located a bit back in the Besenbruchstraße, the companies based here point to a strict parking ban. A parking lot can be found more or less near the Friedrich Engels Avenue. Giovanni D ́Aquila on the right was the chef in the “Grigio” at Katernberg and cooked a few years ago in the Team Poletto in the TV cooking show The Taste. His business partner David Liensdorf is responsible for the service area. In the restaurant we arrived the two always clean and tidyly dressed; . If it goes a little quieter under the week or on Sunday, Signore D’aquila will serve itself. Reserves are advisable but not absolutely necessary. We have also had short-term luck on weekends....a very good alternative if you fail again in the Luisenviertel. The cornered rooms in the vaulted cellar of an old weaving shop are very pleasant. The furniture still seems to be, at least partially, from the previous owner “Il Camino”, some chairs have a relatively small seat area. However, we reserve almost always in the back restaurant area at one of the large round tables for 4 or more people see website . Here you sit on comfortable chairs with armrest, has enough distance to the neighboring tables and the noise level was always in the acceptable range even in larger rounds. I evaluate the PLV with 5 stars, the prices for spice and potion are very fair calculated. The selection of open wines should be a bit more extensive for me, Regaleali or a Lugana you only get as a bottle wine. At least, however, there is a neat Sauvignon Blanc by Gilda Moll from the beautiful Palatinate St. Martin 0.2 l to 5,50 . The initial children's illnesses in the service have now mainly been laid down, at least the male group is doing a very good job here. Look... We were served by Ruven or rather disposed of. Last time we have €74.50 for two appetizers, twice pasta and drinks incl. Espresso paid. Clear recommendation! Addendum: Just discovered on the website... next week there is a tempting Valentine's menu. Hmmh, actually we're not going to eat on those days."

"We were in this Sushi restaurant for the first time last weekend. In the beginning we (I and my friend) were still very skeptical, as we were there for the first time, as I said, and could not appreciate if the food was also worth our money (as many of you certainly do with an unknown restaurant). We were greeted at the beginning by two very nice employees and had free table choice. Ginger and Wasabi were immediately placed on our table and then received the orders. I must add that I and my girlfriend have been passionate sushi lovers for years and were in some restaurants. After the appetizer was brought to us after a short waiting period (we had spring rolls, Gyoza, as it belongs, Kimchi and a seaweed salad), we were already convinced that this visit will be worth. And then the main dinner came. Just delicious! The cooks/cooks there know/white how to prepare food and more importantly: how to taste. The sushi was incredibly delicious, beautifully dressed and the ingredients were fresh. The fish had a beautiful color, one could realize that the tuna was not frozen (you can see the pink color, the desired color of the tuna is generally dark with reddish). The other ingredients were also very fresh and delicious. In the end, it should be added that the employees were very polite and accommodating. Everything in a recommended restaurant where you can get the best sushi in Wuppertal. With this visit, the nice operators of this wonderful restaurant won two new regular customers."

"So before, I've never been to eat before place, my rating only refers to the delivery service. I have to say I am very glad that I found this restaurant because it is not comparable to the other delivery services. from ease to quality to taste, this team tops everything. I live in Langerfeld. The noodle dishes are all super delicious! my favorite is pollo pesto with tortellini. fresh chicken meat pine nuts delicious pesto and ruccola ... saugeil! I work myself in the gastronomy (high kitchen service) the grill plate is highly recommended super on the point cooked (dry delivery) the pommes as a supplement I like to replace with rice, since pommes are now getting quickly soaky .... you do not come around. the pizzas are super occupied not too thick taste good! some say that the pizza ne minute longer in the ones, this I would sign, tastefully nevertheless good. the sandwiches with homemade brot also in order, however, the brot could be a bit thinner ... (just my opinion)The burgers are okay. (crispy chicken ) the tiramisu is hammer horny :))))) my prescribe praised the nutella screws I still have to try.The nuggets etc. are unfortunately finished products but you do not have to order. ;) all in all a big thick lob to the kitchen and above all to the super friendly suppliers. when complaining simply to the employees, it will certainly react. at least. more so!"

"For many years there have been the Pizzeria Don Camillo Peppone at Wuppertaler Laurentius Platz. The location is excellent, especially because of the outdoor gastronomy directly in front of the Basilica of St. Laurentius. Great Italian cuisine has never been offered here, but not promised. However, it was so good to hand, a neat pizzeria. Around 50 meters there are 3 other Italians (Primavera, Amalfi, La Terrazza, see the reviews here . In the further radius of 800 meters, 5 more Gastronomia Italia are added. At Don Camillo Peppone, the owner changed, a change that is obviously good for the company. We were four. Hasimausi, a student, a student and me. We had left them the choice of gastronomy. What is still the racer with students? a. PB Pizza Bude and b. BB Burger Bude. The gastronomic Asians (Thai becoming increasingly popular in the circle of students or the Pan Asia Tapas Gastro Neuling Mu Kii. Well, we saw Don Camillo Peppone a bit critical, but we were assured that the new operator has changed a lot. I would have liked to have sat outside in the square, but the lady was in the evening (21 degrees a little too cool. So in to Don Camillo Peppone. The ambience has essentially not changed. Simple, but beautiful. On the walls plentiful black white photos from the famous Don Camillo movies from the 50s/60s/70s. New, however, in the rear part of the restaurant now an open kitchen, with a wood-fired stone oven. Positively, all anti-corona measures have been implemented extensively and exemplary. Since we come together from only two households student living together, Hasimausi and I still could take place together at a reserved 4 he table. A youthful fleeting and corona masked girl brought the cards. The new concept was clearly recognizable here. Not just Pizza Pasta, but also Filetto, Lachs, Dorade, Wolfsbarsch, Hummerkrabben etc. Don Camillo Peppone had developed from the Pizza Pasta Gastronomia to the Italian restaurant (Gamma Completa). However, without claiming to a demanding gastronomy. No overcrowded songs on the map and no high-form waiters who allegedly bought the cod early in the morning on the international fish market. Our order: Antipasti, Pizza Gamberetti, Pizza Frutti de Mare, Hummerkrabben, Insalata Capricciosa. In addition, fresh early cereal, a flower vase with wheat beer and Cola Zero for the lady and the Lord of the University. How to drink sweet cola for pizza or seafood etc. (Bäh! , I will never understand. In my student period (some decades ago, we drank Chianti from the basal bottle, as much as pure and awakened only the following day in the early afternoon. However, we had enough time and did not have to run from one demo to another. The restaurant was full to the last place. The fear of a corona infection makes either hungry or it was the 2 month abandonment of gastronomy. The Antipasti was served, including wonderful pizza rolls class. All very nicely arranged, Salame, Prosciotto, Formaggio, Verdure, all of good quality, all quite (too much. Experienced Italian life. The main dishes: The hump ravens (Gamberoni as ordered only with some pasta. The Pasta al dente, the 5 crabs unfortunately not peeled. Although it doesn't have to be, it was not on the map, but it is more convenient for me and relieves Hasimausi, which then always has to do so. However, the Gamberoni had a quality and a taste that I would not have expected. Fräulein Student noticed that she has never been served a pizza with such a lot of Gamberetti. Didn't try them (the gamberetti, not the student, but the optics already convinced. Mr. Student was also enthusiastic about the Pizza Frutti de Mare. Dough, covering, everything harmonious. She fought with the insalata she praised as fresh, tasteful and well prepared. In other words, great satisfaction at the whole table. What's left? None sought after Dolci. The main dishes and especially the antipasti were extensive. Grappa and espresso had to be. And our students? We paid and swallowed up again with our snucks Pullis. This is new German, for Corona Mund Nasen Masken. Conclusion: For the whole food 4.5 stars. Even 5 stars would be attached to the Antipasti. The service always present, always an eye on the table. For such a restaurant simply Perfetto. The ambience? For us this simple ambience without a buckling taste and without any approach from Ikea Designer Chairs is okay. For us 3.5 stars. If others only forgive 2 stars, you can also understand. The PLV is very good, just like the final overall impression. Note: Don Camillo Peppone has no convincing internet presence. Only the delivery service is displayed on the homepage and this is still very sweet. But nothing to the restaurant, nothing to the restaurant card, nothing to the location, nothing to the beautiful outdoor gastronomy, no pictures. On the homepage you can only see a very simple pizza delivery service. On the Internet you have to sell, you have to present yourself, you have to get impressions. All this doesn't make Don Camillo Peppone on the Internet. Why?"

Peace yo, I'm out"
