"We visited the Piraeus The Port of the City on 17.06.2019 for a small lunch at 13:00. In front of the restaurant some tables were ready for guests who like to sit in the fresh air. The sun shined and the outside temperatures left to feel very fast. The restaurant was already known as Piraeus In the windlight at the Deutsche Ring, but a few years ago moved to Wuppertal Barmen to the Werther Brunnen. The interior is very sober and is not overloaded with kitsch from all corners and ends. It becomes cozy inside when the restaurant is well visited and thereby adjusts itself to a pleasant atmosphere. We took space outside. After a short time the restaurant owner received us and handed us the menu. In addition to the normal menu, it also contained other inserts with the lunch card. From this card I chose Souvlaki and my father chose from the menu the Fileto Arni (Lammfilet with pepper cream sauce), with patates and salad. As an appetizer we took the Ktipiti (also Chtipiti or Tyrokafteri). The drinks were also included and served quite quickly with the appetizer. Anyone who has already read my other reviews knows I love the Ktipiti. And this Ktipiti was just as I like it and as I think it should taste: smitten sheep cheese with paprika, peperoni or chili. The paste was very nice creamy and reads easily on the bread with it just delicious! After the start-up, the main dishes came and both looked delicious when looking. And it was: The Lamfilet was soft and juicy and the broccoli was bite-resistant. The potato croquettes are an alternative, but I think it would have been better for the Greek Patates, as they were sent to Souvlaki. But that was my father's choice. And also the souvlaki were really delicious: well seasoned but not overgrown. The red paste was quite sharp and unfortunately did not match the Souvlaki. We chose a rosé and a large apple choir. FAZIT: From the past we knew the quality of the dishes of Piraeus, which I also reflected on 17.06.2019. Prices: 1x Ktipti € 4,00 1x Souvlaki € 7,80 1x Fileto Arni € 17,00 1x glass Rosé 1x large glass apple choir Summa summarum we paid about € 30,00, where the lamb fillet was the most expensive food. But it was worth it despite lunchtime. I can recommend the Piraeus The Port of the City of Good conscience."

"General Our daughter had invited us to visit the “visiodrom Im Gaskessel Wuppertal”. Light sculptures were shown there. The theme was “MONET – Rebell and Genius”. The Light Show was not bad, but we didn't need to have all the effects for a very long time. The other part of the trip should be a visit to a Pasta Bar. My wife appreciates these pasta dishes, among other things. The restaurant promised to have the best pasta in town. And all dishes are created on site. So why not make a sample there! Perhaps the name “Handmade Pasta” on the homepage should have insecure us. Ambiente Wuppertal by car is a special experience – but we do not need it. But we managed to find the place. From the outside it didn't look particularly striking. The device also did not have a complicated effect. The room was not particularly large, the tables were tight. But the daughter had reserved. Cleanliness So good. Not visited. Service The young man who served us made a friendly and open impression. But also good service cannot compensate for the peculiarities of the kitchen that we did not agree. The map(s) The card consists of DIN A4 sheets on a clamping board. Thereupon the dishes are offered wordfully. Some have beautiful names or promise great pleasure. The offer ranges from starters, salads, pasta, wraps, desserts to various drinks with and without alcohol. The tasting food appetizer plates 7,50 € Let you surprise 4 delicacies: olives Feta Dip, Curry Dattel Dip, Humus Dip, carrots Dip – and bread slices Other guests had already served this plate just before us. The surprise was not that big anymore, but rather the horror that should be so great on these ingredients. The bread slices were quite thin and slightly dry, the amount was clear. And the dips tasted different. That's nice. But we didn't jump out of enthusiasm either. It was okay. Spätzle mit Bergkäse 11,90 € Homemade cheese spets with onions and mountain cheese Unfortunately, for us the pasta was consistently too soft, too thick, too taste-neutral. The plate was mostly covered with swollen onion. Among them were the wabbelige Spätzle and the cheese sauce. For us unharmonic in the aromas. But maybe Latezle must be so spicy and creamy (we are not swamps – but have already got varieties that were great for us. We prefer to have something with bite and more spices. Cloudy with view of meatballs 11,90 € Tagliatelle, cattle minced meatballs, cloth, tomato sauce The noodles shine nicely to butter or fat and brownish sauce; That's what it was. Here too they were relatively soft. The balls seemed almost taken from the wolf, rolled and cooked. We did not find any spices – and these dishes can well tolerate wonderful herbs and spices. Something salt must be in any case. Parmesan was not saved at least. From Lombardy €10.90 with Gorgonzola, spinach, olive paste, cheese cream sauce, Tagliatelle, Aubergine, Broccoli, bread With the noodles we could of course not expect any other treatment. They were just like the other plates. But taste was created by the Gorgonzola. This was where the court was best able. Also the processed vegetables picked up from the other portions. The olive paste and the cheese rounded off the whole satisfactorily. Beverages Bottle(More mineral water Apollinaris (0,7 l 4,90 e bottle) (Moreover Cola (0,33 l 2,90 € Price performance ratio Prices appear relatively moderate at first glance. But if it doesn't taste very much, it doesn't use much. Conclusion 2 – rather not again. But the restaurant has fans and also good reviews. Perhaps the “American” orientation is not so suitable for us. We love “Italian” cuisine. The dishes must be consistent – and beautiful names are not enough for us. I'm sorry, but: "Freedom is the right to tell others what they don't want to hear. “ (George Orwell (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – absolutely again – after “Kuechenreise” Date of visit: 04.02.2023 – midday – 3 persons My enjoyable experiences are also included [here link]"

La Favola

La Favola

"Altkritik from 2012 2015 set here For a long time I wanted to test the “La Favola” according to the good reviews received here. Yesterday we had the opportunity to leave the A1 in Ron Wuppertalsdorf on the way back from Cologne and hungry. The “La Favola” is located very close to the overall school Ronsdorf in a sleek, inconspicuous corner house, through brightly illuminated windows we were able to create a well-filled guest room for Wednesday night. About 15 tables of which 5 were still free, but partly reserved, let us be afraid to wait, but we got another table assigned. The guest room is arranged angularly around the separated kitchen, the walls are held in bright yellow tones, slightly marbled, a gray granite-like tile as a floor, a wall behind the counter in chocolate-brown markko, another one with broken stones. The dark brown wooden tables nicely covered, cutlery, a small bread plate, plus salmon-colored fabric napkins, a small narrow flower vase and a tea light, which makes a pleasant impression. For this purpose, wooden chairs with mesh and seat cushions, which unfortunately proved to be quite uncomfortable. It is also a pity that the windows have lost the sprouts in an earlier renovation. Also the room lighting seemed inappropriate to us, on the one hand too bright, on the other hand modern luminaires would have better adapted to the ambience than the yellow glass luminaires used. (However, they will see many different things. 2 people worked in the service and handled them easily and confidently. We got the maps, in addition a leaf with daily dishes, which included three different fish dishes but also a deer dish, which already indicates fresh products. But we wanted to eat a little bit more and we were set on pizza. The main map clearly divides what we expected, one side with salads, soups and appetizers, one side with noodle dishes of € 6 9 and one side with pizzas of € 5 11 but also one side with meat dishes and fish. (including Scaloppina, Filet, Seezunge, Lachs and Gambas Prices from 12 to 25 €. Unusual, the menu bilingual, German and English. We chose an Insalata Mista 4,50 € with homedressing, a pizza with ruccola, parma hams, tomatoes, garlic and planned parmesan, explicitly noted on the map without cheese and tomato sauce, which of course was also to get as a “small pizza” 6 € and a pizza with sharp salami, parika, onions and corn 7,50 €, plus a bottle of pellegrino After picking up the order, we got some hot pizza rolls with a cup of herbal butter. The salad also didn't wait long, a neat portion of iceberg salad, with tomatoes, cucumbers and lots of curled radishes proved to be fresh and tasty with a cream dressing. The pizzas were then also brought directly after consumption of the salad, were abundant but without being overcharged. The ingredients were fresh, the parmesan cut beautifully thin. All right, maybe they could have been baked a little longer to get even more cherry. The final espresso € 1.80 were hot and with a very nice crema, much better it is not even in Italy, there were 2 packed waffle rolls. Conclusion: very good price performance ratio, the food really good, would irritate me during a further visit also the noodle dishes and the “higher” dishes. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit far away for us, but if I were to live nearby, it would certainly have the stuff to become my favourite. I decided to evaluate the overall impression here (not the individual areas according to the scheme of a kitchen trip. This review background is solved by a restaurant classification. This can apply to both a star place and a pizzeria or a snack. I think that's fair, every restaurant category will be fair, and I'd find it nice if other friends would join it and get this through for the overall impression here. Overall impression: 4 – happy again (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – absolutely again"

"Restaurant Mediterran, Wuppertal “Now is the light in the rise, It goes into the new year. Don’t let your mute, It doesn’t stay as it was.” (Friedrich Rückert, 1788 1866) Well, so let’s do it differently. No New Year's Eve in the traditional home, but together with friends and their friends in a restaurant. Wuppertal, 31. 12 2013. 19:00, meeting in the restaurant Mediterran, Friedrich Ebert street 41. 18:50. Carlo Attraversanando and Zerberuz: “Where is the entrance here?” The “Mediterran” is hidden and closed. It is true that one can look into the interior from outside, but how will one experience from looking? Finally, we want to eat there with eight other people. The view from the outside to the inside meets no known faces. Rescue! Trial and Error. Try the wrong door. God protect the smokers! A guest who has fallen victim to tobacco consumption emerges and shows us the way. The first impression: narrow, narrow, improbably narrow, celestial... it's narrow here. Immediately greeting by a nice lady from the service we happen to know from another restaurant. Still tight. The room, more or less a hose, to group a middle gear as loggias camouflaged guest supply cells with bar separation. The ambience is enough for an inattentive, hungry guest who needs to eat quickly. Very little atmosphere. Still, you try. The tables are all attractively covered. The group concerned us is accommodated at a long table on the front side of the room, right from the entrance. After some of the guests are intruded, it looks like Christmas or New Year at Aunt “Trutchen”. Close, tight, tight. But you like yourself and it's very cozy. The crowd of guests arrives with delay. The nice sympathetic lady of the service is replaced by a man who sends tendencies of circus signals. The style is changing: “We know each other, so quickly. Name your wishes!” This is a clear nuance too loud and too distant to me. They only relate to drinks: water, wine, sherry, prosecco. I'm threatening road traffic regulations, so just water! The New Year's menu in 5 courses! The service is not to envy. The restaurant is crowded. 3 service personnel can handle everything, two women and one man. For example, at our table it is not possible to reach every guest. The panne forms the start. The “Bruschetta” with Peccorino and truffle Ravioli in sage butter on Carpaccio are on the table even before the obligatory bread with three painting variants. Mostly the Bruschetta irritates me. She's baked with cheese, so hot!! No sense of taste! Carpaccio of what? There's so little puffed vegetables around? Carpaccio? Slightly sleep, follow bread and spread. Yeah, what are you doing now? I'm sorry. No! No overcoming! I don't like these paint mixtures anyway. „Entenbrust auf Rosenkohl in Pistazien Rahm“, all quite tasty, but my duck breast slices are already fully cooked, Zerberuz can still see a pink inside the meat. It follows: “Seezunge’Involtini” with royal crab in white wine sauce on Beluga lenses” “Pfeffermeat from the calfsal tip on fruity vegetables and vanilla tomatoes, with butter twistingen”. ‘Dessert Mix >Mediterran ≤’ The dishes are easy to judge. They are neatly prepared, here and there a small flaw, in focus, the local flock has offered more interesting and better food since the beginning of the Christmas holidays. This menu can be eaten very well, but it does not prepare any pleasure. Cost point, including drinks: €74.86 per person. Prosit New Year! The old year slips into the garbage can with the leftovers! Right. At the subsequent private meeting before midnight there was a vegetable soup based on a Consommé in private rooms. Delicious! That's what I'm thinking. Conclusion: In this way one in the city center of Elberfeld gets hungry, so if you just want to get tired. I believe that the “Mediterran” has a chance to create a satisfied guest. But I also do not want to mention that apart from me and Zerberuz everyone was quite satisfied. The Mediterranean lands on the medium scale on the performance scale of Wuppertal restaurants that I have experienced. I arrange the kitchen between three and four stars, at the service I tend to a similar rating, for the ambience I forgive two and for the price performance ratio four points, as the drinks are cheap. “The time is ruined. The spider spins in secret tissues. When a year begins tonight, a new life begins!” (Joachim Ringelnatz, 1883 1934)"

"The Auer School is located in the Friedrich Engels Avenue 185, 42285 Wuppertal, coming directly on the avenue on the right side from Barmen. I've been here countless times as a guest I guess I'll be here at least 4 times a year. I have already written a review (restaurant Kritik.de because there is no longer the page and here only two older entries are available I decided to write a new one here but is undoubtedly based on it. Furnishing and historical interesting for families and anyone with small purse who still wants good food. The “Auer School” almost no longer existed. On December 16th, a car rushed into the premises and destroyed parts of the building it was unclear if you could still save the building. Luckily nobody came to hurt. [here link]. The façade and the interior were completely restored without the previous charm being lost. The 2Auer School” was able to open its doors again at the end of February. The “Auer School” is a beautifully sworn workshop. The best way to travel by car (please don't go directly to the restaurant again the drive in switch was hopefully closed for always parking spaces are sufficient left for the size of the place next to the local or if you have luck right in front of the store. To get to the parking lot you have to open a little destination or the gate completely. By the way, “Auer School” has its name (according to Koch, through the first Unterbarmer School, which was housed in this building and surrounding buildings. The whole thing is a family business both pack together alike. Outside there are a few separate seats for the slightly warmer season with the view of the avenue who does not disturb the traffic noise. There is no smoking area anymore. The whole restaurant (yes, yes, I make a little hard with the naming it is actually a snack bar reminds in the first glance of the Pommesbude from the Dittsche in Hamburg yes the one from the Ingo who knows it on the other half you feel like in Grandma’s living room all old “antik” the guest room shares a complete old moped. Everywhere, pictures of the wall are hanging memories of the old school and old advertising so Ur cozy. The WSV fans also come to their expense here is a poster of the WSV from 1971/1972 as a West German champion. In the former non-smoking area, 3 small and 1 large table are quite close to each other so you have to cuddle a little. There are several games (usually board, cards or cube games for the time distributed for young and old. In the background mostly quiet music runs. The owners are always very friendly and accommodating and if you can answer You are also so annoying question “how from whom is the music?”. Web presence The “Auer School” has a regular website [here link] the page has all the information you need menu, reference to the changing day dishes, opening hours and contact data more do not really need a website of a local. I want to give a little hint, however, you can find the hint that the “Auer School” is currently on short leave from 26.08. 04.09.2016 at the daily meals I would pack the hint on the home page. A Facebook page also exists [here link] but this is by far not as informative as the main page. Here there is everything that has to offer a good snack bar (Bratwurst, Schnitzel, Frikadellen...Pommes as a highlight I consider here the pizza they have a thin floor but not too thin as with the Italian but with a little more bite with fresh ingredients order bar in small approx. 24 cm and large approx. 29 cm to me, but the little one is enough. If you do not like to be oregano you should point out with little or no oregano you would otherwise get plenty. There are various appetizers particularly prominent here pizzy bread with garlic oil and Tzatziki or Ajoli with bread for 2.50€ very leaks and reaches for 2 persons. For those who prefer warm appetizers I recommend small tapas plates or large tapas plates (cold warm perhaps at the first time you can postorder. Unfortunately, I had two bad luck with the noodles once the lasagna was a bit burnt on where I was offered directly To make them new, which I had rejected for time reasons, but there was a schnapps for compensation. Once the noodles were no longer al dente naja just bad luck I had anyway dear pizza. On the evening I had the pizza Mista 5,80€ with extra feta cheese 1,00€ very delicious and fresh my girlfriend also had the pizza Mista with extra feta cheese as always fresh and good. If you have a little bite, please report the cook on it. There is a daily changing daily ticket see website here we asked for pre-order because quickly out of print. Beverages There are already special promotions like a list of rare drinks (whiskey etc.. for small money. Beer is available preferably from the bottle of Krombacher, Frankenheim, early Kölsch and even Erdinger white beer between 2.00€ 3,00€ per bottle and who likes wine drink different bottles of wines 0.50l for 5,50€. You can expect natural no sharp wines but taste very good. Staff Very friendly, very competent and depending on how full it is you have to bring a little time. Toilets Clean and well maintained, slightly small naja is just a snack Bude"

"Saturdays in January for shopping in the city, at 5 degrees, continuous rain, wonderful! Hunger and thirst prevails around 18:30. Now until the tribe of Italians go through the city? I'm looking at Hasimausi and wondering how it was with a pizza. The enthusiasm is within limits. Your heart-freshing answer: Because of me. A year ago, this is part of a Gastro system chain. represented throughout Germany and neighbouring countries. Quasi Vapiano with service. We are not actually a follower of system gastronomy, but you can try it. About 10 people outside the door. No, smokers who inhale in spite of continuous rain. You don't like anything else. We're entering. First impression: Full, full. Second impression: loud, loud. Third impression: A very friendly Mister Service welcomes us. Just as friendly I ask for a table for 2 people, no reserved we did not. He didn't mean a problem, he'd take about 10 minutes, wait for the bar until then. There I am. Wet jacket, triefing umbrella, a wardrobe, a umbrella stand, both not in sight. Feeling good is not. We are asked by the friendly bar mixer for our drinks. Hasimausi wants a beer. I'll join you. Ruck, after less than 2 minutes there are two glasses egg cream from Bitburg on the bar. The formerly quoted 7 minutes Pils is probably just a legend. I just want to put the egg cream to my thirst, the friendly Mister Service appears and brings us to a table. Great, that really went fast. Where the table for 2 people is actually a table, as one finds such table linen in coffee houses. But directly next to it a wardrobe stand, but without umbrella stand. I then put the screen on the ground a little tasty. Well, we're sitting. The distance to the left side table is about 50 cm, the same applies to the distance from the right side table. In other words: Full, noisy and even tight. A look into the map, pizza, pasta, salads, antipasta etc. We agree quickly and a friendly female service is already at the table. We're going to geduzt, which doesn't bother us. We had already brought drinks from the bar, so our very simple order is: twice Antipasti twice Pizza Gamberetti . Answer of the service lady: Antipasti is out. On Saturday, around 19:00, Antipasti is out, so Primetime is in the middle of the Rushour? Now it does not match my nature to discuss this with the service power. What are you doing? As we did not find an alternative in the map, we reduced to 2 pizzas. The service lady left the table. Hasimausi shook his head. I was just thinking about buying the usual grains of bread on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. in the morning at the baker, and the baker of my trust would answer me: grains of bread are out. As already said, the neighboring tables were neighboring very close. I've been used to it by now. There was nothing from the conversations on the two neighboring tables, but it was too loud. Something else, however, generated my attention. Pizza was consumed at both tables. No pasta, no salads, but pizza. So I had a view of 8 pizzas, all in the format XXL. So pizzas that reminded me of my 18 inch rims of my car, although I had not read any of pizzas in special sizes in the map. Apparently, all pizzas here had this format. I looked up and out about 5 meters away, our friendly service shows me a highly stretched thumb. From this distance, she's been plucking my empty glass, and I guess she wanted to know if there were any other eggplant cream. I nodded. Shortly afterwards, she appeared with the drink and two round paper sheets of table tops, which strongly reminded of baking paper. Our coffee table was covered with it. Shortly afterwards, the two 18 inch pizzas were served. Proves with proper shrimps. Now it became clear why the paper had been spread on the table before. The 18 inch pizzas stood very far beyond the edge of the plate. The edges came to lie on the table and the pseudo decoration hygiene baking paper. Whether here or elsewhere, in contrast to Hasimausi, I belong to the professing action of the opponents of the Pizza edges. In other words, the uncovered edge of a pizza, whether thick or thin, I always cut off and do not consume it. Since the wide edge here was no longer on the plate, but rather far beyond the plate, the cutting off of the edge came close to an operative intervention. Thanks to heaven and above all L 'Osteria, the knife was sharp. I therefore managed to separate the edge from the occupied part of the pizza without suffering serious injuries and nothing from the pizza landed on the floor. That wouldn't have been so bad, there was my umbrella on the floor. Hasimausi had seen me with head shakes. After removing the edge about 25% from the entire pizza, the pizza had thus reduced the occupied part to a completely normal size. From the 18 inch pizza, a normal German Italian pizza had become. And the quality of the pizza? Here you have to pay tribute to the system gastronomy. The pizza was very thin, the dough very tasty, with shrimps of a neat quality was not saved. Although I'm not a very special pizza fan, nor a pizza expert, it was really delicious. The close 12, euro for each pizza were completely fine. Hasimausi had consumed the edge completely, unlike almost all guests in the direct environment. We had no room for a dessert, and Italian Dolci is not my case. I always prefer a small cheese selection. But this does not offer the card in the L 'Osteria. In this respect, we limited ourselves to Espressi and Grappa. Conclusion: Our impression was that the guest Klientel from the category "Main thing Teller" is happy to go. These giant pizzas suggest you get a lot of money here. It is clear that we were satisfied with the quality. Attention, flott and very friendly service. In the case of system gastronomy, one always has the impression that the tables must be occupied as 10 times and more as possible in the evening. Everything goes very fast and the atmosphere full, narrow and loud does not necessarily invite to a longer stay. In other circumstances, we would certainly have drank one or the other and had a little chat, but the ambience was missing. A look into the sanitary area. Nice, chic design. Warm water comes from the two cranes on the sink, which is unfortunately still not a standard even in very good restaurants. The hand wash basin has a XXL format similar to the pizzas. Estimated width about 2 meters. You could have baby swimming in it. There is also a really acoustic hit. Otherwise, in pizzerias older canzoni e.g. by Giana Nannini Bello e impossibili . Not here in the L 'Osteria. While after the consumption of 3 or 4 Bitburger eggplant cream, the bubble must be emptied extensively, one hears from the ceiling speaker a language course in Italian. The speaker is very accentuating an Italian word and then the German translation. Great idea. Thus, not only are local pizzerias competing, but also Italian courses at the Volkshochschule. Grazie mille, Grazie tante"
