"Das war das letztemsl essen in der neuen Welt, leider! Service katastrophal, Freundlichkeit der älteren blonden Dame super unfreundlich, ging mitten in der getränkebestellung einfach wegen beim Nachtisch das selbe, einer von uns konnte Kaffee bestellen, der andere wollte gerade auch bestellen, war sie weg! Sehr sehr hektisches weihnachtsessen, hat mit gemütlich und freundlich gar nix mehr zu tun, man hat den Eindruck, man soll schnell wieder gehen, weil der nächste den Tisch will! Preis Leistung passt null, ich hatte Roulade, die war so klein und das Mini Häufchen Rotkohl auch, das man nicht gesättigt war, für Kinder gab es garnichts passendes und Vegetarier sollte man auch nicht sein, Salat war kein Dressing, schmeckte nach Wasser und hatte noch die Wurzel komplett dran, als ich das bemängelte, Pfurzte mich die blonde Hexe an Bedienung an, wir servieren immer mit Wurzel!!!! Nach ca 20 Jahren öfters im Jahr dort essen, war es für uns das letztemal, das war so hektisch und man fühlte sich für den hohen Preis und wenig essen, nicht willkommen! Kleiner Tipp an den neuen Chef: vielleicht nicht Zuviel Schichten an gäste essen machen und vielleicht mal die Menge des Essens für den Preis überdenken und die tolle Bedienung, würde ich sofort entfernen, denn so war sie auch zu den Nachbartischen! in Zukunft werden wir unser Geld da ausgeben, wo Service und Freundlichkeit noch groß geschrieben ist und das preis Leistungsniveau noch stimmt! Das war schnelles Geld machen gestern, leider! Denn unter dem vater war das früher nie so"

Ich war diesen September das erst mal in der "Neuen Welt" und habe mich absolut überzeugen lassen. Eine regelmäßige Wiederholung ist nun feste eingeplant. Sehr guter Service. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre und verdammt lecker Essen. Immer wieder gerne denn diese Kombination wird immer seltener!

Very comfortable and a great experience of German culture. Our rooms were large and clean. We felt the cost was extremely reasonable with breakfast included. Food was good and service was excellent. The staff do not speak English so it helps to have some German to draw on. It is not in the most picturesque part of town but a very attractive place.

Erstklassiger Service mit freundlichem und flottem Personal. Vielfältige Speisenauswahl. Stets frische Zubereitung. Insbesondere die Fleischqualität ist exzellent. Umbestellungen sind nie ein Problem, wenn z. B. eine andere Beilage gewünscht wird. Saisonale Biersorten bringen Abwechslung. Die WC-Anlagen sind top-modern und z. B. mit Handdesinfektion ausgestattet. Wenn es einen kleinen Kritikpunkt gibt ist es das eher beschränkte Angebot an Weinen. Voir le carte

Wir waren am 29.09.2016 zum ersten Mal in diesem schönen Restaurant und angenehm überrascht. Endlich einmal köstliche deutsche Küche. Die Wahl war bei so vielen leckeren Angeboten nicht einfach. Die Entscheidung fiel auf Ente und Schweinshaxe, beides war cross und so lecker - wir haben es jetzt schon unseren Freunden empfohlen. Gern hätten wir auch das bayerische Angebot genossen, aber das essen wir das nächste mal. Übrigens ein Lob für den Service: sehr freundlich und kompetent.Bis bald Uschi Bettina Hansi und Waltet

"If a family has been leading an Italian Sicilian restaurant for 40 years without interruption in a German city, you can talk about a tradition of Italian Sicilians. Forty years at the same location, vis a vis of the Wuppertal swimming pool and not even an ideal location, about 1.5 kilometres from the city. We haven't been here for a long time, of course it's not 40 years ago, but two or three years. We entered. Just like before, always full. The atmosphere has changed to the advantage. No more South-European tourists Kitsch, more puristic and therefore contemporary. A friendly restaurant chef greeted us. That he wore a very chic short black pants (until the knee, surprised us first, but didn't bother us. His figure allowed to wear this designer piece in the German summer. He accompanied us to our nice 2 he table in a side room of the restaurant 's. They used to say Separee. In the Separee there were two more table, plus and above all more to the guests there later. In the meantime we had made our choice. Two times the Antipasto Taormina (12, Euro a Person , Filetto de Manzo (Rinderfilet mit Stein Pilz, 29, Euro und die Gamberoni a la Taormina (Riesengarnelen mit Parmaschinken, 26, Euro). While we felt a bit loud when entering the restaurant, it was in the Separee (but much quieter). The pretty blacks appeared quickly back at the table and served black olives with a chillie pod and some bread. In fact, only ETWAS bread. If you cut a small slice of light bread into four parts, then the ETWAS gives bread. That didn't bother me. Olives are not my case, but will be consumed by Hasimausi. Well, I could have asked for the Formaggio, but I didn't. Instead, we restricted ourselves to Grappa Espresso. What else was noticed: On the map of the Ristorante Taormina the ignorant guest is explained exactly what the different cooking levels for steaks (Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, Medium Well and Well Done mean.
