"Me and my family used to love Thai Lemon. It is one of our favourite local restaurants. We would visit at least 1-2 x a month. The previous owners were amazing and always offered a great service with their food and hospitality. The owners have changed and we visited once a few months back and did not meet our expectations. We decided to give them another chance today and can safely and sadly say will NEVER be visiting Thai Lemon again. Unfortunately the food is just not worth eating out. Maybe we are just so used to the amazing food we used to have by the previous owners but this just does not compare all. Prices have also increased which ok is understandable but they have also added a service charge to their bills. £240 bill and the duck pancakes were mouldy (wish I had taken a photo, large area of mould). When pointed out to the waitress she did not even apologise and simply said ‘I will get you a new one’. We were put off and didn't continue eating it. The duck was VERY dry and clearly old. Spring rolls full of oil inside. Drinks were not even cold from the fridge. Offered at room temperature with no ice in 32 degrees weather? Tom yum appaling, extremely salty and mushrooms very old. We did not finish these. Barely any meat in the sweet n sour chicken and oyster beef. No flavour in any dish whatsoever, thai food is meant to be very flavoursome. Really not worth £240 very disappointing. They didnt even offer to reduce the bill or remove service charge after the mouldy pancakes. Very unprofessional and food is not up to restaurant standard. Can tell they dont have a proper chef."

London's Pride

"I recently dined at London's Pride, the restaurant located at Heathrow Airport. Upon arrival, I inquired with the manager about their ability to accommodate food allergies (gluten and dairy). The manager consulted with the kitchen staff and assured me that they would take extra precautions to cater to my dietary needs. Encouraged by this, I decided to order a simple meal consisting of steak, French fries, and a tomato. While observing the kitchen's food preparation process, I noticed that the chef was using the same multi-server serving tongs for handling various dishes, such as French fries, fried fish, burger meat, and vegetables. Despite my order being allergy-specific, the chef seemed to overlook the need for separate utensils or additional cleaning measures. This raised concerns for me, as I was hoping for a higher level of attention given my dietary restrictions. When my order was eventually served, I inquired with the waiter about the utensils used in food preparation. The waiter consulted the chef, who claimed that everything had been properly cleaned. However, I had witnessed the entire process and had even taken pictures and a video as evidence. The chef then took my concerns seriously, consulted with a colleague, and prepared a new plate with fresh utensils. Unfortunately, this incident resulted in me falling ill within a couple of hours. I felt deeply disappointed by the experience. It made me question how a restaurant that proudly bears the name London's Pride could overlook such a crucial aspect of customer care. The chef's behavior and approach to food handling were far from what one would expect from someone in his position. Reflecting on the situation, I believe that such a restaurant should uphold the highest standards when it comes to customer safety, especially for those with allergies. If I were the owner or manager, I would certainly reassess and reinforce the allergy protocol to ensure a more responsible approach to food preparation. I regret to say that based on my experience, I cannot recommend dining at London's Pride, particularly if you have dietary restrictions or allergies. The lack of proper attention to these matters is concerning and suggests a disregard for customer well-being. The manager replied they would follow up an come back, but nothing happened. Be careful don’t eat there if you have allergies!"

Go Sing

"I’ve been visiting the Go Sing most of my life. It has always been a well run business, and the food they served was the best in area, without question. Quality has been declining for some time, so much so that I hadn’t visited for around a year, so my friend and I decided to give it another try. Incredibly, and embarrassingly for them, the food had got worse, and the service quite frankly appalling (apart from the efforts of Steven, who was helpful, understanding and tried to put right the wrongs of the other staff). Please note, that whilst this an ‘all you can eat’ buffet, they have stripped back many dishes on the menu, and introduced limitations on some dishes in terms what you can eat. When we ordered crispy duck, we were given 4 pancakes between 2 people, limp and old cucumber/spring onion, a big bone, some non crispy skin and a few pieces of undercooked duck. When we asked for more, the waitress (possibly new manager), came back from the kitchen to aggressively highlight a note on the menu regarding the duck and how they have to limit the amount they were serving due to a shortage of duck. It smacked of cost saving on their part rather than an industry shortage of a product, as did the removal of many dishes coincidentally, most of which were the more expensive kind of dishes such as scallops and muscles, for example from menu, as previously mentioned. Started we’re OK. That said, we had basic stuff that you’d struggle to get wrong. The we had duck gate, which was farcical. We ordered 3 mains. The first, crispy shredded beef, was the worst I’ve ever had, anywhere. The sauce was awful and the ‘beef’ stated like the dust of cremated beef fat. Powdery and disgusting. We then waited 20 mins plus for the remaining two mains, which were almost as bad, and portions were half the size they used to be. Unsurprisingly, the bill came much faster than the food. As mentioned, the waitress/manager was aggressive and quite frankly rude. My friends, family and I have spent literally tens of thousands of pounds at this restaurant over the years. Sadly, I’ll be telling them not to bother in future. Quite frankly, a terrible experience. Poor food, overpriced and shocking service. One star is generous."
