"We sat out in the back garden. The food was excellent, couldn't fault it. Chicken Tikka Masala and chicken supreme both lovely, chips were really crunchy, but soft inside. The garden could really do with a serious clean up bits of rubbish stuck in the tables and fag ends around that need clearing. The tables could do with a lick of varnish. However, new manager takes over soon and maybe things will be different. Good luck to Danny and thanks to John, who will still be around, I'm sure."

I was staying at the hospital and a nurse had recommended the Sunday roast. I wasn’t disappointed. I had roast beef with all the trimmings and it was lovely. The beef was lovely and tender, to much for me but I’m not a big meat eater. Veggies were lovely and fresh and roast potatoes nice and crispy. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I will return next time I’m in the area.

Located in the town center, this pub offers multiple spacious rooms surrounding a large bar, with a generous garden at the back. They have four cask ales available, although the first one we tried was in poor condition. After a quick conversation with the bartender, we were able to swap it out for a well-conditioned alternative. The lunch menu is extensive, with prompt and tasty food served by friendly staff. Overall, a good value for a pleasant dining experience.
