"This very smart and attractive restaurant has an unusual outside seating area. On the main road side is a large stone picture frame water feature with many water spouts pouring down like a waterfall. The inside is very attractive and looks elegant and comfortable. My dining partner and I sat outside. She was not very hungry so has a wild leaf salad with a raspberry dressing. The dressing tasted great, the wild leaf salad & herb leaves were a little too bitter for her. I had a dish of tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms, garlic, white wine, cherry tomatoes and spring onion. The sauce was a little too runny but the flavours and al dente mushrooms tasted very good. My house chardonnay was also crisp with a light touch of fruit. Their 'fresh' fish dishes at over EUR 30 are top of the range prices more in common with Frankfurt. I would however go there again."

If you like spicy, this is the right place for you. Skewers from the tandor oven very tasty my favorite chicken and fish. It is recommended and worth visiting. Always open except Monday, closed day. 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. until the guest leaves. 11 p.m. Vegetarian dishes are also available, otherwise inquiries are very welcome. "This restaurant is amazing. Every year we visit Germany we make sure to visit. The food is absolutely delicious. They even offer a vegan option on there menu which I was very pleasantly surprised about . Thus I ordered number 100 on the menu which is vegan . The portions are very generous as well. I love spicy food and they have several dishes that are spicy but my vegan portion wasn't but they offered hot pepper powder which absolutely did the trick for me . The interior of the restaurant is very cozy and it sets you back in time and you feel like you are in Persia . Very tastefully and exclusive decorations. I can only highly recommend this restaurant I promise you will not be disappointed"

"Wir gehen ganz oft dort, das Essen ist lecker, Service auch ok, Personnel sehr nett und freundlich. Ausser von Speissekarte gib auch immer Menu of the Day von Fisch, Pasta, Fleisch oder Steak. Meine Kinder essen gerne dort Pizza. Im Sommer kann Man im Hof sitzen, aber drinnen auch sehr gemütlich. Mann muss am besten Reservieren, sonst immer voll. Ich denke das Restaurant ist ein von Best Itallienisches spezialität in Darmstadt. So viel Plätze drinen auch nicht zu viel aber trotzdem sehr angenehm. Gib Parkplatz am Restaurant aber leider nur für 2 Autos, aber in der nähe gib auch Parlk möglichkeit. Das Restaurant hat Montag ruhetag. Der Preis ist ja akzeptable."

""What is not to like?" says the BF, about this cozy English pub featuring incredible Indian food?!? After being seated we were greeted by a friendly Indian woman who suggested we try a couple of dishes that she personally oversaw. We were delighted with the tomato based chicken curry and rice served with a delicious lentil soup and the crown jewel, a speciality platter with small bowls of rice, lamb, a potato mixture, paneer (cheese curds), yogurt with carrots and a mint sauce. Both dishes were accompanied with paper thin crispy Nan. (They also offer a vegetarian version of this specialty.) If you prefer something other than Indian food, there are lots of options available on the large menu. If you are curious about the steak with cheese sauce mentioned by other reviewers the chef that offers that specialty is there on Fridays, otherwise you can cook your own steak on a stone. Check out their website as the menu changes. We have definitely found the best Indian food around and will be going back SOON!"

"Visited Hacienda last night with 6 work colleagues for dinner. We were a blend of North American based and France based people who were excited not to eat German food again. The restaurant was a good size, however lacked air conditioning or any fans, which made dinner a little uncomfortable.The food itself was good. I wouldn't say it was authentic Mexican but it was tasty. The guacamole was great and so were the chips. Overall the food was well priced and plentiful. We order lots of drinks and they were relatively good too.My only negative comment would be the service. We had a total of three people waiting in us. The younger server was visably annoyed with having to wait on Americans and snorted when one asked for ice. Also laughed at use when we said "danke", which I thought was not necessary. The woman waiter was not as rude but definitely not friendly either. The older man, who seemed to be the manager, was pleasant and I would have rather dealt with him the whole time."

"The place was packed on an early Saturday night, but we had reserved. At first we were assigned a tiny table at the hallway where everyone who needs to go to the bathroom passes closely behind one's back. We expressed our dissatisfaction with this and then were offered a table close to the entrance that was somewhat better. Why not from the beginning? The staff was stressed and each time a different person appeared at our table. Some were friendly, others curt. The atmosphere was loud and hectic, which was not helped by the very narrow spacing of tables. In any case, in due course our order was taken and it did not take too long to arrive. This was possible, because clearly much of the food is prepared in advance and only heated up. For example, the Tajine dish was served in one, but it was clearly not prepared in it. The food tastes ok, but we would have expected more seasoning, it was a little bland. Portions are generous, perhaps even too large. There is a short list of bottled wines, but prices are marked up steeply. Altogether, the price tag seems a little high for the delivered quality. In summary, while there is nothing deeply wrong with Djadoo, we were left with a mere average impression. But they were turning three or four seatings per table, so many other customers are clearly more pleased."

"The hotel is located in the Arheilgen district. From the outside still quite inconspicuous, so it surprises all the more with a beautiful, upscale modern interior warm colors, fresh flowers, candles all matched, plus a friendly, warm-hearted welcome, we were positively surprised and it had taken us for the restaurant immediately. If the food should be good then there was nothing against a nice evening and what should I say we were not disappointed. In the warm months a beautiful outdoor area invites you to stay. There is a wide range of specialties from the Balkans, for example Muckalica, Bosnische Schnitzel, Cevapcici, Hirtensalat etc. but also German dishes Rumpsteak, Filet, Lende....... as well as fish scampispieße, Zanderfilet, Scholle. ... and some vegetarian dishes can be found. Who is plagued by little hunger is here also toasts, soups, vasper bowls etc. All seasonal offers that change daily are added. We enjoyed as aperitif : Quittensecco Prosecco with Quittensirup very good Hugo good appetizer : roasted anchovies with warm olive oil bread Prima As main dishes followed: grilled Calamari with potato spinach run very tasty and typical Croatian as our friendly service, while serving mentioned at this great taste, I plan to move to Croatia in thoughts already next summer vacation. Lamb back with princess beans and roast carafe meat tender and juicy, roast potatoes could have been a bit more delicious. Winter salad various leaf salads with red bees, freshly grilled mushrooms, scallops, shrimps and creeping foothills of the Burner grill plate various grilled meat with Djuvecreis The portions were generous, a good price-performance ratio, we were completely satisfied."

"This family-run restaurant has long been our favorite. We first ate here in 2000 when we moved to Graefenhausen. Meanwhile we have moved away, but we still stop by to eat when we are in the neighborhood. The prices are still very reasonable, the quality is excellent, and the service is very friendly. The homemade bean soup (Bohnensuppe, 3.00€) is a good appetizer. For a main, we like the ground meat filled with cheese (Spezial Plejeskavica, 9.90€) or the schnitzel in a creamy cheese sauce (Schnitzel König Tomislav, 10.50€). Both are served with fries and include the house salad. Opening hours are daily from 11:30-14:30 and 17:30-24:00 except Tuesday. After 13 years, we were happy to find the Family Donlic there to welcome us for dinner. Nothing has changed, it is still excellent!"

"We ate there today, everything was good and the food was delicious. However, the waitress/waiter was very confused or seemed very confused! I arrive home and all I see in the food is chilies! So with all the love, you now spend so much money and get food that you simply can't eat because your tongue almost falls off! "Hidden away in a residential area, this is a little gem of a place, tastefully and warmly decorated with numerous pretty moroccan lamps and artefacts. Being a family-run business, we were served by the friendly son, who also speaks excellent English.We had an excellent white bean soup with spinach, and then two traditional moroccan main dishes, with couscous. The small meatballs in tomato sauce dish, served in a tanjine, was good and had interesting and intricate seasoning; the other dish, aubergine with minced meat in tomato sauce, was somewhat rough on seasoning and not as good but my parents still enjoyed it.The prices are very reasonable: the main dishes are not very big, but they range in price from 7-10 euro. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.The restaurant also has a nice little deli store attached, where you can buy all sorts of moroccan delicacies. We bought small pastries / cookies, which were delicate and good although expensive (1 euro for a tiny pastry).I definitely recommend the place if you're in Darmstadt and want to try moroccan food in a cozy atmosphere."

"Wonderful authentic Peruvian restaurant! "War mit Freunden seit längerem mal wieder zu Besuch im Bembelsche.Bei perfektem Wetter draußen im kleinen Garten. Preise sind für Darmstadt ok fand es dennoch etwas befremdlich, dass man für ein "normales" Schnitzel Beilagen extra bestellen muss und auch extra kosten. Sollte ihr mal überdenken.Werde wohl bald wieder hingehen, weil`s lecker war."

Die Preise finde ich persönlich etwas zu hoch, sind meiner Meinung nach im Restaurant Niveau, z.B. Salate zwischen 9 und 12€, obwohl nichts besonderes an den Salaten gemacht wurde. Pizza kann ich wärmsten empfehlen, super lecker und Preis top!"

"My Daughter who `s a teacher in Germany booked for us again we have been here in the summer and this time the winter special of Duck, their signature dish was on.... What can I say It was maybe the best meal of my Just so good ... I returned days later for a repeat with my wife and son in law he had the Veal steak which I nicked a bit of,it was tasty .the duck is served with a choice of potato or bread dumplings quite big like a large grapefruit size these are a skill to make I preferred the Bread one my wife the Potato both I coated with wonderful gravy and an apple baked and on top of red cabbage. this was washed down with beer and wine by others pudding was the Kaisersmame and plumes and sour cream cherries if you share this dessert you will argue over the last bit beaware its that good crisp and dunked in the plums....Yum,,, as you can see from my pic I enjoyed working on disguising my six pack... Signora Beatrice runs what must be Darmstadt`s hidden gem of a restaurant well worth the short walk out from the centre...As that other Austrian Arnie said i`ll be back (next vist to my daughter for sure)"

"Went to L'Oliva in Darmstadt for the first time today. A wonderfully beautiful atmosphere, very imaginatively decorated with wine utensils. A very pleasant and extremely caring service, even the boss came to the table several times. The amusement oil with olives, Parma ham, still warm bread, olive oil and coarse salt already enticed the taste buds. The starters, beef carpaccio with scrambled eggs and truffles, were a completely new experience and the trilogy of tuna, salmon and monkfish served with mango, avocado and orange fillets was a taste explosion. No other exquisite ingredients are revealed. You have to experience it for yourself The main course is US roast beef tagliata and saddle of veal with mashed potatoes and vegetables (superb and al dente pumpkin! yellow beets, broccoli, Romanesco,... . Finally, an exquisite mascarpone yoghurt cream and a lemon sorbet. Both garnished with a very tasty fresh! Fruit salad. Final espresso at the Italian restaurant is a must. Accompaniment during the evening with a delicious, aromatic Primitivo from Puglia. Can only recommend the restaurant with its great service and really delicious cuisine. Thanks to the team"
