"We popped in on the off-chance of a table after doing a long walk and were told that it would be fine as long as the table was vacated in hour and a half. The menu is not too large but there is something on there for most tastes, which I prefer as, hopefully, the food is of a higher quality. The staff were first class, very friendly and accommodating, but the food, mm mmmm. My wife had the Sunday roast, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pud and veg, so tender mm, I had cheese pie, chips and veg, a proper pie and great chips mm mm. We shared a sticky toffee pudding with custard, again so good. Great prices, good service and cracking food, not surprised that you need to book, we will be back, booking next time of course."
