"Estuvimos de paso por Ávila y buscamos un restaurante para comer, encontramos Restaurante Corral . Entramos y estaba lleno, nos atendió Claudia, fué muy amable y preparó una mesa en mints!¡ Después para nuestra sorpresa los menús que se ofrecían son de gran variedad y al probar los primeros platos nos encantó. Muy bien cocinados, comida casera de calidad y servidos con gran amabilidad. Todo riquísimo!! Muchas gracias por atendernos tan bien Claudia y la comida tan rica!! Lo recomiendo 100×100!!"

"We were lucky to be there during the weekend when they had the medieval festival. The restaurant is nicely located by the walled old town. The place was very busy that lunch time but the waiters tried their best to be fast with their service. We had for our main course the beef cheek with red fruit sauce and potatoes. It was so good. Tender that it practically melts in your mouth. One of us loved the potatoes that she told the waiter about it. The waiter after serving everyone in our group came back and gave her an extra plate. That was totally unexpected but much appreciated. Nice gesture ... kudos to that!"

"Great atmosphere and location, great service, but the food was horrible. We went there precisely to eat Chuletón de Avila and we were horrified when GREY meat came out. The meat was decent quality however whoever was in the kitchen cannot cook! Of ALL the steaks I’ve had all over Spain this was BY FAR the worst. You could taste that the chef put the meat on the grill before it was hot. We ordered the steak medium rare and assumed it would come out dark charred on the outside and beautifully red and pink on the inside. Instead it was GREY and light brown on the outside clearly not grilled properly, and a weird light pink inside that left the whole thing flavorless. When we sent it back and asked them to make sure it was cooked properly, they brought it back 4 minutes later with little improvement. I feel badly because the waitress and the waiter were very kind but even they could tell we were sorely disappointed with the experience. I would never advise anyone to eat there."

"Stylish Italian place in a very elegant setting, a kind of a XVIII palace in Avila. The decor is minimalist,and the atmosphere is classy and dim. You´ll enjoy a quiet night out here. As for the food, sadly this will not be a one of a kind experience. It is plain and simple Italian, without any surprises. My pasta was exactly what I expected, and my wife´s pizza so and so. Not much to say about this. But since I think it is the only Italian in Avila,then it must be a very trendy place up there..."

"neighborhood bar with traditional meson decoration. has few tables and some on the street. They have many snacks and allow you to choose. Good lunch there. They have 3 menus, one for burger lovers, another for those who want to spend more and another 18€ that was the one we chose. good quality, great quantity and well cooked. The fries spiced and knew a lot of garlic. I love them. squirrels with chorizo and ear were very good and had a touch also spicy and blunt. the salmon cake with tomato and melon delicious and much more adapting to eat in July. the veal was very good, the carillas are undone and it is better to take them with a spoon. but the cod loins to garlic and oil were simply delicious. Best of all. I recommend cheesecake. all desserts are homemade and rice with milk and apple pie are also very good. the place is very central and the deal is polite and friendly. We were very happy, then we went back to a coffee and we were a drop."

"This place is simply *amazing*. You know those fiendishly expensive French “degustation” 6 course menus? Well the taste experience at this unassuming little tapas bar full of locals was equally as perfect, but for a fraction of the price, with friendly service and great football on tv. We were a bit surprised when a friendly elderly waiter said “best to combine the flavours: have a bit of chorizo and salchichón in the same mouthful”. Well, it turns out he’s the owner, and obviously takes tremendous pride in his tapas: his anchovy and marinated (by him) sardine on melted blue cheese (see pic) was another memorable taste explosion. And the (complimentary) chicharrón was to die for (probably literally: it was wildly unhealthy). And somehow the tortilla and pork ribs didn’t make it onto the bill, apparently they were complimentary as well. Laurie Lee had an unforgettable tapas experience well, we’ve just had it happen to us. I’ve been to many restaurants over the years, and have never got round to reviewing any of them: this little tapas bar in beautiful Ávila has finally got me writing."

"Hello, we're traveling ducks, November we were at the revolutum restaurant. We both have the same opinion and generally believe that the restaurant has been a pleasant surprise between the gastronomic options of Avila this is our assessment based on different aspects that we believe important: personal: the staff is very but very attentive and joyful. "This was the best restaurant that we found in our travels around Castile, and it couldn't be faulted in terms of the excellence of the food and wine, the friendly and attentive (but not over-attentive) service and the attractiveness and ambiance of the restaurant itself. And good value to boot. Full marks to all involved. [Incidentally, we came across it in a side street, Calle Tostado, near the cathedral, and almost missed it. "Fuimos de menú, que incluso en fin de semana está a un precio bastante bueno teniendo en cuenta las vistas del local. Pedí de primero patatas revolconas y estaban espectaculares. Riquísimas. Lástima que la ternera de Ávila, mi segunda opción, no acompañara la experiencia y buen sabor de boca que me dejó el primer plato. Otros comensales también se la pidieron y también terminaron decepcionados. Resultaba chiclosa, la verdad. El postre, en este caso yo me pedí unas natillas que venían con galleta, sí estaban a la altura. El servicio también fue bueno y el ambiente también, ya que sorprendentemente no era ruidoso, como es habitual en casi cualquier establecimiento de restauración en España, y eso se agradece."

"Restaurante cerca del campo de golf de la ciudad. Ubicado en un ambiente campestre en un complejo con hotel y hostal y repleto de actividades al aire libre, como la equitación por ejemplo. El lugar es bonito y lo tienen realmente bien cuidado. Fuimos en la epoca de buen tiempo y la terraza era espectacular. El día que fuimos nos encontramos con un concierto de un grupo local (los organizan una vez por semana durante el verano). La comida estaba muy rica. Estilo americano con burgers, nachos, tacos, etc, mezclados con algunos platos mas traduccionales (no se si para comer tienen carta diferente). Pedinos para compartir entre cuatro. Raciones generosas. Dejan tener mascota en la terraza y en el hotel también. Dentro no lo preguntamos. Repetiremos antes o después"

"The restaurant is situated very near to the famous view point The four posts Cuatro postes . The atmosphere was a little bit odd: old beautiful stone wall and plastic Coca-cola chairs. We ate lunch and my husband chose thin veal stake anf french fries and that was okay. My choice wasn 't so succesful: trout with ham and the salad for both of us. The salad wasn 't very fresh, tomatoes were raw and asparagus was from the can while it is now season time for fresh ones. My trout tasted odd and was full of small boans. The ham wasn 't any better. The service was friendly and they had a menu also in english. The view was good, because you could see the town of Avila and its famous walls. But if you prefer good food and have a chance to choose, so pick another restaurant. Valinta osui tähän ravintolaan, koska emme ehtineet lähteä etsimään muita ravintoloita keskustasta. Sisustus oli sekoitus vanhaa kiviseinää ja valkoisia coca-cola muovituoleja. Palvelu oli ystävällistä ja jopa englanninkielinen menukin löytyi. Ja ikkunoista näki Avelan muurineen. Ruoka ei kuitenkaan vakuuttanut. Kahden hengen salaatti ei ollut houkutteleva: salaatit olivat ruskettuneita, tomaatit olivat raakoja ja mukana oli purkkiparsaa, vaikka tuoreparsojen sesonki on parhaimmillaan. Mieheni otti lehtipihvin ja ranskalaiset ja se kuulemma oli ihan ok. Oma valintani ei osunut nappiin. Valitsin taimenta ja kinkkua enkä tyhmänä tarkistanut onko kyseessä file vai kokonainen kala. No tietysti se oli kokonainen ja täynnä pieniä ruotoja. Nekin olisi jaksanut nyppiä pois, jos maku olisi ollut hyvä. Kala ei maistunut miltään eikä suolankaan lisääminen auttanut. Jos siis arvostat hyvää ruokaa, etsi joku muu paikka."

"Llegamos a cenar y sólo estábamos nosotros pues abren de noche si tienen reserva. Quisimos irnos pero insistieron y lo que iba a ser una cena triste en un restaurante vacío fue toda una experiencia. Nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos y David, el chef, dueño junto a su mujer y padre, nos ofreció una masterclass de los tipos de carne, de su conservación, de cómo realiza una economía circular y sostenible, cómo aprendió la profesión, de dónde viene el nombre del restaurante... Además, nos preparó un plato de carpaccio de buey que estaba EXQUISITO!! El pulpo a la brasa estaba delicioso, repetiría. El chuletón añojo de ternera de Ávila estaba rico pero se quedó corto por haber probado primero el buey. Acabamos con una tarta de almendras casera y que lleva el nombre del restaurante: espectacular!! Fue una bonita experiencia y desde Gran Canaria le deseamos todo lo mejor porque poca gente conozco que tenga tanta pasión por lo que hace."

"I don 't think is worthy at all. They are just very busy, the service is JUST ok, they make you feel like they are doing a favour for you all the way. We were seating in a very small table, next to clothes (very unconfortable), they were very slow to take ANY orders, they did charge us for more bread than we asked (I am celiac and they did charge me for it and I asked for NO bread.. they don 't care). They said no about cutting the meat inside and also after paying 150 euros they couldn 't even invited us for chupito... just not great. they are lucky because they have reputation but that doesn 't last forever... i wouldn 't come back or recommend the place at all."

"On Calle Reyes Católicos, not far from my hotel, I stopped for breakfast at Café Fortaleza before my day of exploring. It was busy, but not crowded, and I took a seat in the window after ordering my café con leche and tostada con tomate. When the woman behind the counter called out, I went and grabbed my food, and returned to my table. The coffee was excellent, and the toast was good. I enjoy being is spots with locals, and this was a great choice."

"Very good. the attention of all the staff was 5 stars, facilitating all the requests we made to them. the human capital is its strong. the great food, the service of the waiters, do a great job. But breakfast is terrible, very bad. coffee maker at breakfast or buffet breakfast sells a bad coffee not, the next.
