"It is really incredible that a small town like Achim has three Italian restaurants, which have now received good to very good reviews from me. In Hamburg Harburg, my last residence, I did not find a single Italian restaurant offering good Italian regional cuisine. Hamburg Hamburg is so big, I don't want to make a judgment. The Da Vito has always been recommended to us from different sides, Germans and Italians. What we did not hear: “The best pizza”, “ground food”, “tolle atmosphere”, “we’re going there at least 2 times a month”, etc pp. We had already tried, unfortunately, on a Monday, but there is rest day. Today it finally worked. We had pleasure in Italian and it was Sunday. I'm glad I called again to make sure that the place is open. “Do you want to book?” asked me a nice lady, “it’s just in alignment”. I just heard at this moment, Piiano Man’ by Billy Joel ... the crowd is shuffeling in ... and decided to follow this point. And that was good. The restaurant was nice about 19.30, although it is quite large. 3 interlocking interiors and a rear covered terrace. All interiors beautifully decorated and equipped with many handwritten panels for specials. Too bad you don't get the same information anywhere. Only when I inspected the “Garten” I learned that I could also have a special truffle dish that I very much appreciate. But be it as it was, we went to pizza anyway. As Amuse Geuele there were hot rolls with a slightly sharp herb oil dip, which was also added pressure to my sweetness; for that he smiled at the pizza, hihi. Unfortunately, the wine map is clear, but the open red from the barrel was good. Veltins as a beer was also no alternative to me. The pizzas of 8 euros each were really good, even if they could have been a bit more chessy in the middle. But that's a good thing. I had the “Da Vito” with garlic, artichokes, fresh tomatoes and parma ham, my sweetheart the “Alfredo” with everything: that was more “sei Stagioni”. The dishes on the neighboring tables also looked very tasty and were thoroughly cleaned up to the last rest. Small pointe on the edge of regional cuisine: I asked for Panzanella, an Italian bread salad, which I actually know mainly from northern Italy. “No,” I said, “we are from Calabria, the Panzanella comes from Apulia; At our home in Achim there are also, but here we make calabresian cuisine” One notices that the two regions directly adjoin each other and that certain dishes on the map certainly do not correspond to the calabrian standard. Another little point. “Why don’t you have a website?” sidiffi asked. “We don’t have time for this,” the nice waiter laughed. Too bad, they probably won't read my post here. The service is very nice and keeps an overview in the greatest chaos. Conclusion: The restaurant definitely sees me again, the 5th star is forgiven when the main dishes starters keep what they promise! After that we were again there and were not so convinced by the pastures. When I order Spaghetti Carbonara italiana (on the special card) and also with the waitress still clarify that it is with a lot of pepper but without the typical German cream and then it is drowned in cream and that is also more than 2 € on the standard card ... maybe the waitress has just prescribed herself. The fact is that my husband was eating his pizza and I got my pasta a lot later. This was okay, but not good. People, there are for 6 basic substances for a carbonara sauce: bacon (possibly Pancetta) gently glazed onions Egg or egg yolk (the spirits separate) grated Parmesan noodle water to bind the sauce lots of pepper Unfortunately, there's a point trigger. The Dependance Mangia è Bevi further down in the street is not safe even before a visit from me: The filled noodles sound too exciting to resist: A giant ravioli filled with figs and parma ham with green pepper and butter sauce, or a girasoli with marons and pears in butter sauce, you won't get it every day. Whether it's a la calabrese or not, I'm pretty wurscht."

Carpaccio

Carpaccio

"I've been to the Carpaccio a few times in the last few years, but my initial applause has weakened. Just before I left, I wrote the last update. 18th update November 2013 Unfortunately, I must reduce my rating, but the place seems to be very weak. The appetizer plate I appreciate is 1 € more expensive (13.90 , but not so exciting for a long time. In addition, the lack of guests seems (we were the only guests; lt. Does it seem to all people formula-1 to look at some ingredients (tenders, sour-laid Kidney beans, mussel salad have a too long stay in the kitchen. We've taken away from them. At the starters, there was an unsightly confrontation between my sister and the host. She had chosen a Gavi di Gavi for 4.80 for 0.2 l. He didn't taste her well, because too little clear and fresh in taste, rather as if it had been developed in the barrique, which would be rather untypical. Wiki should be good Gavi is fruity and aromatic, a little herb and sometimes with a lemon nuance. It is partially expanded in the barrique. . There is a quite typical Gavi di Gavi taste that I could not recognize again. She did not find an alternative on the wine map, for which she could inspire herself and asked the host to take the wine back. Now he got really nasty, and he was repeatedly hacking around on the subject: I didn't have a barrel standing here, the bottle opened this morning, I've been giving this wine for years, from where I should know if it was in the barrique. According to fluchend he went behind the counter and we dedicated ourselves quietly whispering our appetizer plate, which could not really reconcile us. For the consumption of a main dish the mood was avoided. Spike and on the border to rudeness, he wondered if the food would have tasted us. We renounced criticism, paid. 19,00 plus 1 Euro tip, which I would certainly not have given. When going out, my sister said that he would have wished her a good slip (it was raining). Since the host speaks excellent German and my sister has very good ears, I am inclined to believe her. To satisfy our further hunger, we moved to the Ristorante Davide, who was prosperous. So it can't just have been at Formula 1 that the Carpaccio was completely orphaned. Update from March 2013 Actually I find it a pity that we don't eat more often here. Clear winner among the Italians in Achim as regards the appetizers. I didn't get such creations even in big cities. Update of 31. October 2011 We were back last night and were thrilled that the waiter owner immediately remembered us and asked if we wanted the same table as last time. We shared a carpaccio with tomatoes and found this as too sour and for the price of 12.90 too economical. I mean, we're talking about about about 2 TL wonderfully thin sliced beef fillet. And they also have to calculate a lot of queue because, among other things, only a few people skip the hurdle to spend so much money for a 2-happen appetizer. But somehow it's already marginal, especially in the village. My companion was wonderfully satisfied with the ham with Melone; the melon was sweet-ripened and triggered. I swung through a dish on the table: Farfalle with calf-swept with hosting in a gavi sauce to 12.50. Super delicious; I'd rather have licked the plate. 5,90 for a 0.2 glass 2009 Gavi de Gavi is ok, but not just a bargain. In addition, after the first, unfortunately it had to be another 2. Smile. An expensive pleasure is to go to eat here if you do not choose the German-Italian standard dishes; but it is worth it. Somehow this Italian has always escaped me. You get past Bremer Street more often, but you don't really notice it. Now it was a tip from a friend who drove us there. The ambience is appropriate to a large square space with little subdivision possibilities. Hübsch is a long wall with infinitely many photos, large and small, which create a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, only silk flowers on the tables and no candles. But otherwise the tables are nice, but not overcrowded. The big surprise was the food, because that was really good. As Amuse Bouche there were two different hot delicacies: A small slice of dough roll filled with herbs and a square something that was probably potato-based. Both a really nice start. We weren't very hungry, and we've always been in court. I had the antipasti misto (the big one at 12.90 and was thrilled. Not the usual suspects: There were even more of the variously filled dough rolls, artichokes, white and red beans filled with peppers and red onions, TMB, a very interesting seafood salad with many fresh herbs, dried tomatoes, minced meatballs with filling, ham with melon, chickpeas in currysud ... many different mini snacks, all made themselves. My partner had a pizza beer that tasted him very much. The little Fitzel he offered me was crispy and juicy, so nix to mecker. Almost all dishes at the Carpaccio are also a small portion, which I find very great if you want to eat several things. Fish is completely missing from the standard ticket, which is offered only as a daily dish, and I find it good. The Carpaccios, the name of the restaurant, are diverse: a good idea for the next visit. In the neighboring tables one had pork fillet dishes, which were very praised and pasta dishes with Gambas and Pute Champignons, whose eaters hardly got the mouth empty on my question whether it was delicious. In addition to the very extensive wine card for chocolate wines (approx. 10 – 15 different there is still a nicely made bottle wine card (each wine with label illustrated and genuinely handwritten. The service (in our case probably the owner is very nice and attentive, without being excessively devot. He is from Turin and we talked about the Piedmontese antipasti culture. Unfortunately, due to the cost of the ingredients, it cannot offer truffle dishes or Bressaola “Carpaccio”. “For this, the Achimers simply don’t want to spend so much money, we only do on request”. Too bad, but I will still come back because his card offers enough alternatives that want to be costed. Other: Smoking is possible only before the entrance; toilets are perfect; extensive grappa card; the dessert card unfortunately offers only little exciting. It also offers party service, fish and romance menus. Conclusion: I will return safely here and hopefully not only try the exciting antipasti plate again."
