"We reserved online about a week in advance and asked to sit at a side table because we had our golden retriever with us. Then sat in the pub at the regulars' table in front of the kitchen instead of in the Sääli with tablecloths and a nice ambience. There were a lot of flies around the table and when we asked for a fly swatter we laughed out loud. The food was good except for the gratin. I think due to the temperature and the cheese slices not melting, they probably forgot to heat it up. I know we could have complained, but we were just hungry. The highlight was the very friendly and attentive service with a foreign accent and long hair."

Situated by the historic Schlachtkapelle (Battlefield Chapel) of Sempach. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff plus tasty food and drinks make it an obvious choice to relax whilst enjoying the lovely local scenery.

The location is brilliant, elevated above Lake Sempach. We sat on the terrace and it was great weather with the best view. The food is really good and not overly large portions. The service is good and mostly attentive. There are plenty of parking options and then you can learn a bit about the history.

If you are absent due to illness, the guests present will receive a proud supplement. In 2023, with the knowledge that illnesses can cause a lot of harm, those who are considerate and those present are punished, very unwise. And thank you very much for your answer, counter question: if a group of 12 people spontaneously comes to your place, you have to assume that you won't be able to accommodate them... oh dear.
