Cozy, old-style restaurant with delicious German food and big portions. Friendly staff and good service. Would definitely reccommed for experiencing Bavarian food.

the only thing that was good here was the potato dumplings. otherwise nothing.As in the gastgarten the mice, not one, several have walked around .that was too much. the waitress on it: you can't do anything, this is so...so for us: no thanks!!

I know that locally from student times for over 50 years. changing pächters have kept this locally always at a reasonable level. is currently the first-class Franconian cuisine to praise moderate trips. the schaufrl is inconceivable, the other Franconian standard court at high level: no tourist trap. cheap snaps, beers of local breweries. friendly and competent service. you always like to return. we arrived with my wife and the child at 21,15 am the time to say good evening the waitress comes to us with almost annoyed air and tells us that in 5 minutes the kitchen closes. We're going to sit down, take the German menu, ask the English one to take one and take back the German ones by banging them on a counter. to our demands was all finished, they didn't have the pork stylus, etc. we went away.

we stayed in this restaurant me and my boyfriend at the suggestion of a friend who lives in Nuremberg for a long time and I must say that it was a pleasant surprise. very small local and in the real traditional style (we were made to sit on the table with another couple). we ordered the pork shoulder and the classic sausages of Nuremberg, water and a medium beer. all very good and excellent quality. honest account (€31). recommended!

we arrived at this place at the suggestion of a blog on the internet of the best locals typical of Nuremberg. We were very attracted to the environment and even the dishes were no less. we took 3 local dishes all very good accompanied by a great beer and a apple strudel also this very good. we were in nürnberg for business and were looking for a restaurant with rainy kitchen in the evening. we got the tipp into the restaurant to go cotton in the middle of the city. the small restaurant invites you from the outside. without reservation we had luck and got a table. what followed was great. starting from the local beer over the leberknödel - suppe to the main course everything was really good. the ladies who brought us through the evening were very attentive, friendly and pleasantly funny. it was a super tipp and great evening. when I have to do again in nürnberg I go back to this restaurant guaranteed to eat again.

On visiting my resident only sister (I am from USA) she chose thisoutstanding Zur Baumwolle rustic and, with a most charming decor,outstanding food, and very nice service, the last week of April of2017. The atmosphere was warm, as was their soup to their maincourse's. I would definitely highly recommend for a return visit !! Wearrived for a late lunch and with luck did not need a reservation,in the middle of the week! One of two of the most authentic Germanrestaurants, I dined at on this 12 day vacation in Nurnberg, MunichWurzburg, and, Garmish. Total bill in Euros was only $32.60 forSelters, 1 kleines Pits, 2 Spargelsuppe, 1 Schmtzel Buttersp !

My wife and I had the asparagus soup...wonderful! However, the one waitress for the entire restaurant gave my wife the wrong main course, and was aware of it when delivered. My wife attempted unsuccessfully to get her attention for 20 minutes. When the waitress finally arrived, without any prompting, said she was sorry....a pregnant pause ensued, after which she asked if my wife were going to eat it. When she indicated she would not, the waitress ultimately provided the correct main course.I attempted to flag her down for 45 minutes to get the bill, but she purposely ignored me.....she was hugging and saying goodbye to guests as they left, greeting and seating new guests, etc. At one point,...
