"there was nothing wrong to stay here. the rooms are modest, with a decent comfortable bed. the bathroom was a little spat. the breakfast was not bad, but hardly excellent compared to other hotels in the opposite. the senior employees were, however, what would leave the stay. they were rude and critising from our group (a high-time weekend where most hotel guests were invited friends and related. we were not allowed to join tables in the courtyard so we could all sit. Check-out is a ridiculous 1030hs without the possibility of a late cash, and finally, although the breakfast buffet was still outside, and the tables were still eating when I asked for a cup coffee at 1005, the breakfast was told repeatedly at 1000 before I got a coffee. (every other day I stayed, we had breakfast at 0800 we were later due to the necessity to check before the bite. Overall, this hotel was just a scenery for an amazing high time in the beautiful Bavarian landscape that happened near the high-time location. it has not negatiw influenced how we felt about our stay, but it will certainly not stay in our memories beyond the next days. average, cheap, forget."

"the waltenbergstüberl is a beautiful Bavarian outing place where you are very striving to also host vegan guests well. the breakfast is rich and varied. there are all coffees also with milk and the cakes and torts are all baked with dinkel flour. there is always a vegan selection. updated from previous review on 2021-08-01"

"First at least. Wait 10 minutes until the operation comes. Then wait another 50 minutes until the food is on the table. Lasagne was salted, Rigatoni (actually ordered with tomato sauce) spicy and barely edible. Then we let them go back. Pizza Tonno: now what should I say, the one from the supermarket (Fertigpizza) tastes better for classes. The terrace for sitting is really nice. Although directly on the road but when we were there hardly any traffic. There was no light or at least a candle at any of the tables. Maybe it was better then you didn't see what you ate. All in all not recommended!! !"

"Now we have been here a few times and there are good and not so good experiences. We spent our New Year 's Eve in the restaurant and it was a complete success. In a cozy atmosphere near the fireplace, we enjoyed Bavarian tapas, which we all enjoyed. Unfortunately, the truffle was missing from the organic hour egg, but it was tasty even without it and was then deducted from the bill. The pork belly was the best I 've had so far. The evening was accompanied by a nice selection of different cocktails and the service was also very friendly, unobtrusive and competent. For brunch we booked an igloo where we were allowed to sit undisturbed in the warmth at no extra charge. Up to four people can comfortably fit here and it 's a nice experience, something different. However, it could have used some cleaning beforehand, as there were cobwebs hanging on us and insects falling from above onto the table. Appropriately, the foam on my cappuccino was crowned with dust particles and a fruit fly, which were already on it when it was served. I just took the foam down and didn 't want to be an annoying customer, I 'm not that sensitive. The selection at the brunch buffet was very varied and there were also starters and main courses from the daily menu. We enjoyed the fried shrimp with an Asian salad/vegetables, the roast beef with mushroom sauce and the lasagna best. I just missed the truffle pasta and baked calamari that were advertised on New Year 's Eve. Unfortunately, all I can say about the Kaiserschmarrn at the end is that it was one of the worst. They were really big, compact chunks and we couldn 't enjoy them. So all in all, definitely worth one or more visits, a few things could be improved, but most of it always tasted great."
