"Went here for lunch on a Monday and was really impressed. Friendly service and great food. Coffee is of a high standard too. The lentil and vegetable soup we had was fantastic. The chicken, bacon and cheese omelette my partner had was the best omelette she’s ever eaten her words but I agree with them. I had a chicken, bacon and cheese panini and that was great too. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. You can tell it’s a family run business and they care about the customers. Only slight point is that it is more expensive than other cafes in the area but you do get what you pay for in my opinion. Will be a repeat customer moving forwards."

A small, coquettish and cozy cafe. The food is absolutely delicious, I especially recommend the savory crepes, the coffee was very good, the staff is very friendly.

Really good coffee and very tasty crepes! The staff are so friendly (especially the lovely man who I think is the owner and always goes out of his way to welcome customers and makes sure they are happy).

Best place in Epsom for lunch, sweet or savoury crepes done to perfection. Portion size good, always enough and I’m a big eater, price is good, friendly and polite service. You can’t go wrong with this place. I go there whenever I can.

Our first visit, but certainly not our last: cannot believe how many times we've walked past this restaurant and not ventured inside, but having read the very positive reviews on TA we decided to pay a visit, and it was a revelation: lovely warm welcome, equally lovely food (especially the breakfast crêpe) and excellent coffee. It's hard to believe you're on the high street, as it's quiet inside and quirkily decorated which adds to the ambiance.

"I visited my elderly Mum today, she suggested going to the Derby Arms for a roast dinner as she'd eaten there recently with my sister. However they were fully booked, so I looked online and found Galu. The reviews were great and my Mum has only ever heard good things from friends and neighbours. So I called and booked for 12:45 Sunday 21st Jan 2024. We were both pleasantly surprised to see roast dinners on the menu ... Mum order lamb and I ordered beef part of their set menu. When the dinners arrived, you could see straight away that the lamb was Very Fatty (not even crispy) when my my tried eating it, it was both tough and chewy! As for the beef, this was cooked ok and edible, although I asked for the beef to be medium, but it was more well done. The waiter came over to ask if the meal was ok, I highlighted how the lamb was... the manager then came over and offered my Mum a slice of beef to compensate, bearing in mind she ordered lamb. Mum subsequently found that some of her roast potatoes were hard inside! I finished my meal, but could see Mum really didn't enjoy hers leaving a substantial amount on her plate, and having tried her lamb it really was inedible! We were then offered a full list of desserts rather than the set menu, having chocolate brownie and creme brûlée (both were gorgeous) When the bill arrived, I was hoping they would have somehow made amends, but alas no ... as Mum doesn't like to cause a fuss and it was her treat, I decided not to say anything, although the staff manager could tell we weren't happy. Having come from East Sussex for the day and regularly have great Sunday roasts in local pubs, I was hoping for something special in this restaurant, but sadly that wasn't the case. In fact it's probably one of the worst roast dinners I've had in a long time. I very much doubt we'll return ..."
