Ordered food to be eaten on their balcony over looking the water. Made for such a great experience and the burgers were amazing, definitely keep coming back again and again just for this alone

Classic Pub, can get very busy at the bar but plenty of seating. Reasonably priced with a good food selection. Do not try using the app during busy periods as it will take significantly longer to get your order

I want to thank Geraldine for the excellent fish and chips dinner I had last week. It was so delicious, I could have sworn she made it herself! The Dover sole has nothing on the quality of the food at my favorite Leigh Pub. Geraldine always provides exceptional service.

I always enjoy it here as it has great views onto the basin and the river. The staff are lovely and I find the new management very friendly and engaging. I enjoyed veggie fish and chips, which is battered halloumi and thick chips. Everything was very delicious, and I love the batter, it was very crispy. I'll always be returning

Lovely pub in Old Leigh. Good food too. We went for the Pub Quiz. Do not recommend that though unfortunately. Way too noisy, couldn't hear questions, too busy plugging the raffle, took over three hours as the answers weren't called until well after 11. Shame really, not a pleasant atmosphere. Plus everyone was cheating anyway. Five stars for the meal we had before hand, minus two for the quiz and the evening. Much better pub quizzes in the area for sure.

So this Sunday I met with a friend and while we walk in Leigh On Sea, we decided it would be good to refuel. Decided to visit the most visible choice that was on the way. The prices were ok, decisions enough to wonder. Depending on the number of customers you can see his good place and dog friendly. We had a nice meal and felt comfortable. His clean and staff took care of us. Thank you, perhaps to visit again, unless you want to experiment with other places;

Rating: 10/10 for both the location and the fish and chips. The restaurant is situated in a small, charming village next to the river, with an old pub that is perfectly rated at 10/10. The interior was cool and beautiful, providing a fantastic atmosphere. The fish and chips were also top-notch, with a serving size that was just right and a great taste. The Triple Dip Chips and malt vinegar added to the traditional experience. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch thanks to the excellent service provided by the staff.

The drinks, views, and atmosphere are delightful at this restaurant. However, I would recommend avoiding the food. The first meal I received was cold and when I sent it back to the kitchen, the second one came out just as cold. I didn't want to embarrass the waitress by sending it back again, so I simply explained that food should be served piping hot. Unfortunately, even the second meal, a pie, was barely lukewarm in the middle. I have never had to send food back twice before, and I have no doubt that it would have needed to be sent back for a third time.
