"Beautiful meal thank you, nicely cooked and presented, nice surroundings, friendly staff, couldn't fault it. will be coming back next year from March to October and very glad we have found you! Update, July 18. fabulous meal here again, dogs made very welcome and brought elderly friend with us who said it was the best steak he had had in a long time! My lemon sole was lovely and churros were an excellent pudding! Thank you, will be back!!! UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2019. Still excellent, lovely meal, dogs very welcome, hopefully back again very soon!!!"

"We went into the place thinking that it was going to be amazing as the reviews suggest, however, our experience was terrible. I ordered a tea that wasn’t tasting particularly great, it lacked flavor and I didn’t even finish it, also, I had to ask for another mug because mine was filthy and some lemon or honey for the tea that they couldn’t provide. My partner got a coffee that wasn’t great either. We wanted some food but it wasn’t really a lot of variety, nevertheless, I ordered a sausage sandwich with onion. I had to take it back and ask for a refund as the onion was presented in big chunks and it was raw, I got 2 mini sausages that were slightly undercooked. On the other hand, the staff was really nice and the shop inside was okay."

"I have been here several times before and always been impressed with the quality of food and prices. Unfortunately the revised menu is extremely pricey for the food offered. A chicken burger was nearly £18! When it came it wasn't even a proper burger but similar to Birds Eye Chicken in batter where you get 4 in a box for £2.99! Very disappointing. I think the fact that the bar was not busy even though it was half term is an indicator of the price hike and slip in services. We waited a very long time for food to arrive. The bread roll with the apparently German sausage was as hard as rock. A tiny slice of cheesecake was £7! Advertised as a family site, not many families can afford to eat out at these prices."

"We booked for a table of 5 including a 1 year old in a high chair. This was booked with 48 hours noticed on a day with limited service due to a festival in the village the night before. Our requirements where met and we where informed about the limited service during the day. Even with the limited service we where sat and settled quickly with our drinks order being taken. We where not rushed to order food and all questions and changes where handled without problems.The food was delivered in a suitable amount of time and it was to a very high standard. We where pleasantly surprised as both the Lamb and Beef where cooked to a high standard and the vegetables (served in a seperate dish) where also delicious.Two vegetarians in our party where also well catered for with a number of options that did not include the standard mushroom dishes. The Risotto they chose was very enjoyable.Our one year old was given a free meal as long as an adult ordered a meal (not including the lamb) this was also a great benefit that is welcome for parents of children that don 't always eat a lot.The food was very decently priced for the quality of food provided. We would definitely visit again in the future and choose a time not directly after a festival when we would be able to enjoy a better more lively atmosphere"
