"Beautiful tea room, friendly service and what they had on offer was absolutely top notch. Would definitely give 5* but they were on a reduced menu so there was only one item for someone with dairy allergies (and none for vegans) which was the reason we'd gone because they'd gotten great reviews for their vegan options. "the menu was not extensive, but I understand that this is their summer menu. I had the steak and it is a nice juicy piece that was not grilled but cooked on the bbq. I asked about medium rare and this is what I got nice the mixed grill was hugely saw one of the other customers it have. my friends all enjoyed what they ordered..Fish and chips, burger, jäger huh etc. You can leave the choice of the wein. could get better labels for the weinkers. nice large beer garden and friendly staff but otherwise no complaining go back."

"Good pub grub, not too expensive, and no airs or graces, nice range of beers and some interesting ciders. Locals all friendly. Staff on duty were all helpful and attentive even when the pub was busy. Lots of smallish rooms, and a big garden. The football, Liverpool TV Chanel, was on in the room we ate in, the volume wasn’t loud, so it didn’t disturb those weren’t interested but just load enough for those who were. A nice compromise. Other rooms don’t have the TV so you can always try and get a table there. Speaking of getting a table, they don’t take bookings, so it is first come first served."

"We visited here whilst staying in the area and the reviews looked great. We called to book a table the day before but reservations are not taken in the school holidays, we were advised instead that food would be served from 5.30pm on a Saturday. We arrived on Saturday at 5pm expecting it to be busy only to be met with a sign outside stating food is served all day and a mob of people all at the bar ordering food. It was a manic rush to find a table but we chose next to the bar, we chose our meals waited for the calm but it didn’t come so I joined the queue and waited patiently. The bar staff were lovely really friendly the order was taken with ease and the drinks were reasonably priced. Despite being so busy our food arrived very quickly within twenty mins. My beef burger was nice and hot but dripping with grease, my boyfriends chicken burger was cold and dry however we could not get anyone’s attention to get it changed. I ate as much of my meal as I could with the constantly dripping burger and my boyfriend had one bite of his chicken burger and left the rest. We paid our bill and promptly left, we could have raised it on paying but felt there was no point as we just wanted to leave as the hustle and bustle in the bar didn’t make for a relaxing eating experience. It’s a shame as the puddings board looked good and we were going to stay for the evening but that was not to be. "We chose Moretons for our wedding reception based on our previous experiences staying there. We stumbled upon the manor by chance and have stayed there multiple times since. The food at Moretons is exceptional! The staff are incredible and serve the most delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Our wedding breakfast was fantastic - we started with chicken liver parfait, followed by perfectly cooked roast beef that literally melted in our mouths, accompanied by seasonal vegetables, and ended with Dorset apple cake. Our guests were extremely impressed. The staff went above and beyond to make our day special. We cannot recommend Moretons highly enough!"
