Worplesdon Place - Carte

An excellent meal served by very professional and friendly staff. SMALL (as opposed to large) plate of whitebait was huge. Also fish in fish and chips was the largest I have ever seen from a restaurant or take-away.

Great venue on the edge of Guildford avoiding traffic and expensive parking. Lunch was great, a friendly welcome and lovely food, the beer battered haddock was spectacular but all the meals were good and we all left happy and full. We will be back before Christmas!

I recently went to this restaurant for a lunch meeting and was very impressed. The service was quick, which is important during a business meeting, and the food was delicious. Our plates were empty by the end of the meal. I will definitely be returning when I am back in the area! Voir le carte

Staff are friendly and helpful, the place is lovely and relaxing for lunch, really appreciate the relaxed unrushed atmosphere, the downside was the food. I ordered the plaice it was served with samphire. It was so salty i could not eat it. The treacle tart was great though, very generous helping with clotted cream lovely. Overall good, just dont go for fab food

We had an informal gathering here following a family funeral. We wanted something relaxed for 15 20 people just in the bar with food . It was really successful . The hotel reserved us tables and we ordered food from the menu to share and kept on adding extra dishes and drinks throughout. The staff were wonderful. The food excellent. It is so hard to find somewhere that will accommodate this sort of event where we were uncertain of numbers Worplesdon Place was brilliant.

Beautifully decorated and in a gorgeous location. Unfortunately the food and service didn't meet expectations. Seated promptly but food took nearly 40 minutes to come out. We all had the roast beef. Mine was full of fat, the entire slice was a lump of fat! Vegetables were cold. Roast potatoes were not freshly made ... you can tell. Parsnips so hard you couldn't get a knife through them. Cauliflower cheese wasn't cheesy and cauliflower was grey. All in all a pretty disappointing experience. Voir le carte

Clearly been investing a lot into the outside furniture…we chose to sit in their very nice new Adirondack chairs in the garden with our daughter to give her a bit more space to run around away for the tables. But then they refused to serve a bowl of fries to us because “we don’t serve food to those chairs”. It wasn’t exactly busy and there were little tables next to the chairs…but it was a point blank no for no other reason. Imagine this was your pub and you turned down business like this…

My wife's birthday was approaching and we usually opt for a high-end lunch or dinner to celebrate, but this year we were short on time. Instead, we ended up going to this restaurant that we always drive by for breakfast. We were greeted warmly, seated at a cozy table in a corner, and enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast that was expertly prepared and served piping hot. After our meal, we took a stroll down to the lake and admired the black swans. We have since decided that breakfast is the way to go from now on!

The atmosphere is beautiful on a sunny day at this restaurant. However, the Sunday roast was disappointing. The roast rump of beef was overcooked and tough, and the Yorkshire pudding was burnt. The potatoes and vegetables were cold. Unfortunately, my son couldn't eat his meal and I only managed to eat half of mine. The staff seemed busy and didn't address our complaints until it was time to clear the plates. I was given a credit for my son's meal and he was offered a different option later on. Overall, I was surprised that the chef allowed such poorly prepared dishes to leave the kitchen. Voir le carte
