"We called over to Pateley for an impromptu visit to show my daughter where her great grandparents had lived and I had visited many times as a child. While there, we decided to grab lunch and stumbled upon The Willow. A really cute little cottage converted into a tearoom/restaurant with a great menu and helpful staff. The food was delicious and plentiful and my daughter was thrilled when she asked if she could have ice cream with sprinkles for pudding and the lady produced ice cream covered in chocolate sprinkles! My husband and I treated ourselves to cakes from the mouthwatering selection and our 10 month old took great delight in helping us eat them. Although there was no designated baby change area the staff were helpful in directing us to and upstairs area where my husband could change our son in privacy. We will definitely call in again if we visit again. Thank you to the staff x"

"When I returned for a second drink, the service improved significantly. The staff became more friendly and actually checked in on my meal. I try not to hold grudges, so I’m giving it a four-star rating. Even though I’m not from the area, this was my fourth visit in two weeks, and this was the only time I encountered issues. Perhaps they were just having a bad day, or maybe they aren’t particularly fond of bikers?"

"Whilst it’s a pizzeria it has a mouthwatering specials menu. Sadly they are incapable of providing a basic service for their highly priced special dining along side turning out their pizzas To wait over an hour for cold starters and a further 30 mins for mains is tardy in the extreme Don’t complain if you expect an acknowledgment of their inadequate service never mind an apology as there is every chance you will told ‘as you’re not from around here you don’t know what to expect’! Tourist board will be over the moon!!! So pleased every where else we visited were polite and accommodating"

"The site is very dirty. The menu sounds really good but in reality its the same sauce no matter what you choose and flavourless, Have tried this place a few times to give it a fair crack and each time I am left disappointed and severely out of pocket as £30 for a takeaway for 2 is outrageous for this standard of food. So even though I love curries and this is the only one for miles I wont be going again."
