"What a lovely pit stop on a club bike ride. We enjoyed a well maintained garden, with well stocked borders for the season. The chefs endeavour on an expansive menu was appreciated. The landlady’s charm and focus was noted. However the lamb rogan josh pie was missing lamb. The chips were well cooked, but I didn’t have any and my mate (Tim) didn’t share any. Miserable git, we won’t invite him again !! All said done 5 Rooms: 1 Service: 2 Location: 4"

Overall, the food was excellent. As for the service, I would rate it a 3 out of 5. The location deserves a solid 5. Highlights of the hotel include a quiet atmosphere, kid-friendly surroundings, and great value.

A lovely pub which is dog friendly in the bar area , a good selection of both ales and food,both reasonably priced.Staff very welcoming. Great outdoor area. Visited on more than one occasion whilst on holiday nearby Service: 5 Location: 5

I stayed for just one night, but the room was clean and fresh. The location was wonderfully quiet, and the pub, although not crowded, had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately due to a table of 25 arriving before us we were told despite there being lots of available tables we couldn't order anything other than sandwiches (couldn't have chips with sandwiches as 5 portions of chips was too much fornthe kitchen to handle). The fish fingers sandwiches were perfectly acceptable but did appear to be value fish fingers nothing special for the £7.50 Service: 4 Location: 5
