My friend and I visited today , dry food no condiments one sachet of vinegar between us best part was the pint of Pepsi

It looked like they were struggling to keep this together post Covid. Staff were quite off hand , food was average, some of the beer below average.

either oily food or blande. terrible service. she sat on a unclean table. my food showed up and the cute was dirty. the breakfast itself was oily and terrible. service is very bad. Voir le carte

this place was packed when we arrived. the service was up to a lady who had to say in the grunde what the staff was there, what was to do. good bush at the place. it was the market day in machynlleth and it was obvious that it was a place meeting. a guy told me he had been there 35 years on the market day! the guinness was a perfect temperature, well poured and went a tasty bite!

move on .. I'm still waiting on a response of our appealing room we booked 3 weeks in advanced for the best room in the place . the room we were given was on the top floor we booked disabled . 90 for a...night in a scabby little room some lights worked 2 single beds i would not let my dog sleep on . thats there best room ? .we point blank refused to stay in that hole . so drove 4 hour back home .

called here on holy evening and was surprised by the lack of Christmas decorations and atmosphere. Maybe the covid had something to do with it. some of the foods were also bland and lack of taste, especially the curry, but the two young lady staff members we met were polite and helpful. although the visit was not unforgettable for the white lion itself, it was great to see family and friends again. Was recommended to go there for a meal. Worse meal we have had. Lasagne was burnt so they put an inch of cheese on top to hide it , was like eating a piece of rubber. The fish my husband ordered was supposed to be...cod but turned out to be sole. The dessert was profiteroles which had been defrosted in a microwave and the cream had melted and was warm. When we tried to point all this out they were just rude. I would never recommend them sadly.

We had to go to town (Machynlleth) to do some shopping and decided to go for lunch,White Lion was easy to park and we,d had a nice breakfast a few week's before.Walked in sat down at the cleanest table , ordered Sunday lunch expecting to...get what was advertised on the menu,well disappointed wasn't the word,No roast potatoes,no cabbage,one burnt stuffing ball a burnt Yorkshire pudding,huge chunks of raw swede and a tsp of instant mash, don't even start on the prices.

Pretty poor tasteless food. Four meals arrived in under 10 minutes, quality of food was low. Straight from freezer to fryer mostly, we left well over half of it. Makes spoons food look good, but here costs 50% more. Very poor value. Biggest reason for...the low score was the high cost for such awful food. If you go to ‘Spoons you know what to expect. Also very stressful as staff running around dishing food out unbelievably quickly and shouting across to each other. Didn’t look understaffed but hard to tell post covid. We ate at glan yr afon 2 nights prior and it was same price but easily twice as good. Won’t be returning here. Voir le carte
