Very pleasant pub grub. Freshly prepared and very tasty. Good service. Deserves to be better supported .

Nice enough pub you can get a decent pint. The food was the best bit I had a vegan burger which was very tasty.

Simply, I believe this to be the best pub lunch in the Hawkinge and Folkestone area. Emma, who served us, was excellent and the food was simply superb. Highly recommended

Nice pub/restaurant. Tues night rotisserie chicken. Very good value and quality. £15 for half chicken plus 2 sides and a lovely homemade dessert. The chicken was pretty large. All in all very nice

A usually great pub being ruined by an inept owner, Friday night and a band on to boot and there's currently 6 draft beers they've run out of, what an embarrassment, Nick should put it up for sale, he's clearly lacking money and interest, Voir le carte

A friendly local pub with a few hand pump beers. Tonight it was Rotisserie night on the menu, £15 for half a chicken, with 2 sides, of which there was several choices followed by a choice of desert. Food was home cooked and a really good standard. Would definitely go again.

I booked a table for 18 people, 2 months ago, for 11 August. This was for a special family occasion. Today 9 days before our booking, the pub phones me up and cancels our booking, because they are no longer doing food on Sundays. I now have to find somewhere for 18 people, at short notice, fat chance. Shame on the White Horse for not contacting me earlier about this cancellation. I will not be going there again.

By chance we phoned through to book a table for 4 for Sunday lunch, having visited Dover castle. Anna was most courteous and managed to fit us in. I'd recommend booking in advance however, as we were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was busy. The Sunday lunch menu is excellent with great service too; also piping hot plates which we all really appreciated. Between us we ordered the prawn on bruschetta, a small portion, but very tasty. Halloumi fries which were delicious. Also, the hearty daily soup. For mains we had the ample roast lamb and beef dishes, served with substantial helpings of meat and excellent seasonal vegetables.
