Weinbauer Restaurant

We had a lovely dinner with authentic (heavy) Bavarian food. We loved the original atmosphere (wooden interior) and the friendly service. Wide food and drink selection.

On our whole trip this was the most wonderful restaurant to find. The specials every day are truly special, and are worth trying. Make reservations because this restaurant fills up quickly.

Stopped in here on a damp Saturday night as it was the closest restaurant - what a find!! Really cosy quaint restaurant with a fantastic menu --- the roast garlic and Riesling cream soup is to die for Voir le carte

We came here three times within one week, which speaks for itself! They serve typical German dishes but also salads and fish dishes. These are all nicely served in a very appetising way. Service was impeccable!

This restaurant is attached to the Bellevue Hotel, and is a great place to eat,it is typical bavarian cuisine at its best, the staff are very friendly and will help you work your way through the menu, if your German is not good enough, if in season you should try the Asparagus dishes , the wine list is also worth a try

Local restaurant nestled amongst hotels and 3minute walk from the lake. Waitresses were very friendly, with very good service. Food was delicious, serving tasty local fare. Portions are generous. Very warm and hearty meal. Grillteller, serving a combination of beef, veal & chicken steaks, was absolutely delicious, as is the Kalbfleishsuppe mit Gemuse und Eierstich. Service was ok but we felt not welcome. After asking the WiFi code we were told this was not for restaurant guests but only for hotel guests. After waiting 30 minutes after having finished our dinner and nobody asking us if we wanted desert and to avoid waiting even longer we asked for the bill. When wanting to pay with creditcard we were asked if we had cash. Thereafter we had to go to the lobby to pay with creditcard. Food was not fantastic but fair. Service was okay but nothing more than that. We will not return.

We decided for Weinbauer since we required a dinner close to Tegernsee with 10+ people on New Year's Eve last minute... Weinbauer's staff was nice enough to make extra arrangements for us although they were fully booked: they opened up their conference room for us and decorated it in festive style. We felt very welcome, service was extremely friendly and up to speed despite them being very busy. I find it hard to find this level of service excellence in Germany. Food was great too. We all had different dishes and they managed to bring everything at the same time. Would really recommend this place.

I asked our hostess to recommend somewhere to eat on our first night in Bad Wiessee and she recommended the Weinbar at the Bellevue Hotel. It was walking distance from our guesthouse and we strolled down around 7pm. We didn't have a booking but that was no problem and we were quickly shown to a table by an open window. We both had soup for entrée, French onion and Cream of Asparagus. Both were delicious in fact the Cream of Asparagus was the best I had while I was in Germany. It seems May is the month of asparagus because everywhere we went restaurants had a special asparagus menu.
