"Several reviews, including those in TripAdvisor, made us curious ... so we went for dinner at Walid and were not disappointed. It is indeed excellent, truly fine dining. It is not easy to reach by public transport (which we took), but really worth the...effort if you don 't have a car (for those who do, parking in the area is not a big problem). The restaurant consists of two rooms with well spaced tables; the rooms are smallish, the atmosphere is cozy. In good weather, there is also some outside seating on the sidewalk in front. It was there that we had a glass of Riesling prosecco and then adjourned for dinner to the inside. We shared a rabbit terrine (one of several appetizers), served with both marinated and slightly roasted onions both wonderful, while terrine itself was not so outstanding (we found it over dry and not all that tasty). Our main dishes were wonderful both my wife 's generous and perfectly done Schnitzel (and we have had schnitzels everywhere) and my absolutely excellent shoulder roast both dishes beautifully presented. My wife 's favorite desert is Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte (a cake originating in Germany 's Black Forest area, hence the name) and containing some cherry brandy (Kirschwasser) in its filling. Usually it 's a regular cake in form and one gets a slice. At Walid 's, each serving is presented in the form of a small ball, coated all around. Really marvelous. The wine list is short, but has three high quality whites, reds, and one rose, in addition to the prosecco and spirits. The service was most attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole evening was a great experience. We recommend it most highly."

we were so often in this neighboring restaurant and were never disappointed. eating is like the service. best ingredients and great dishes. all my family from old to young loved it here. special atmosphere. we will surely come back....Glad it survives covid times.

Spent a wonderful evening with friends. Very good solid food (nothing exciting but just very well made, very good ingredients, very nicely served), beautiful interior and most friendly and knowledgeable manager. This is the place you want to have next door! We will clearly come...back often!

we had a great time for lunch on birthday. eating was great, and a choice for most people. the waiter was attentive and pleasant. it was late, so we decided to skip this dessert even though it was my birthday. before we have our bill, the waiter came out with a nice little dessert just for me because it was my birthday. all about the place, the class, care and attention to customer details radiated. before the house was friendly and even with my poor German. we were received, our moms saved and enjoy a sparkling aperitif in no time. the food was beautiful, full of taste, perfectly seasoned and proudly presented. very good value and the whole experience becomes an unforgettable part of our berliner experience.

Simply outstanding! New German cuisine: classic recipes brilliantly transformed into something light and modern with the chef's magic touch. Walid has worked in a two-star Michelin restaurant and it shows in the graphic presentation of the food. I would particularly recommend Wiener Sommer Schnitzer with...the herbal horseradish sauce. The place is cozy and worth a trip to this part of Prenzlauer Berg. Also, the prices are very reasonable, all mains are below 20 euros.
