"spontaneously we decided after the breakfast, it was super weather to drive mini golf in the large garden. so let's go. after golf we had starved and so we returned to the watch room at the edge of the large garden. very cozy, very nice and flashy service. we took place and the nice waitress asked us about our wish. the menus she put us in demand. we first ordered a drink and then a delicious lunch. she pointed out to us that it could take a little longer with eating, as the restaurant was very well visited and everything would be freshly prepared. we decided to wait, because we had our last holiday day and wanted to enjoy it right. after about 20 minutes we eat already. it tasted wonderful and we enjoyed it. we were asked in between whether everything was in order and whether we would have wished. we were all satisfied and would like to thank you for the nice service and the delicious food. it was a very good decision on Sunday afternoon to go to the watch room. many, many thanks for the successful stay. See you soon."

uncomfortable, impersonal service, personal is not at all guest-related.It comes to you as if you disturb. Ice cup,no price-performance ratio.

the service staff is better than eating, was also just a soft spot, because the tor economy had uttered a reservation - after all the chefin personally apologized and donated a free drink

on a sunny day of October (10.10..2015) we sat here at a field-story beer and enjoyed the wonderful autumn afternoon in one of the most beautiful parks in Germany. the watch room itself is a cozy pub with some nice offered.

Huge outdoor terrasse where typical local dishes are served. One of us had a Snitzel with frites , and the other Gullash. Mineralwater and a local beer. Price 27 eur. The food was quite okay. The service a little slow, but the place was full.

We had walked a lot and been all around the gardens so it was lovely to sit down in a peaceful location. We were quite late for lunch so it was fairly quiet. The menu was all in German and the waitress had limited English so lunch came as a surprise-thankfully a pleasant one! I thought we were getting a ham and cheese baguette but it turned out to be a sort of pork stew with thickly grated melted cheese on top with a few slices of baguette. It was very tasty!

"I stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is situated, it is on the 5th floor, and I passed it a couple of times but it was always empty. One reason, I think, is that the menu is rather obscure, with slashes between the dish description as inscallop/saffron/guava/back puddingA little off- putting, I felt. However, as a lone diner, I was getting pretty fed up of waiting for bad food each evening, although in a beautiful setting, Dresden's main square and its surrounds. So on my last night I treated myself and got a table on the roof terrace. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, and produced a good selection of bread. It's clear there are 5 courses, an appetiser, a hot starter, a soup course, a main and dessert. I didn't want the soup. This wasn't a problem. To start, I had quail's egg/chick/gorgonzola/rocket, but it was so much more than that! It had a delicious fried bread cube, a gorgonzola sorbet, and crumbled herbs to garnish. It was, superb. But the description is selling itself short! The hot starter was also good, scallops in a saffron sauce, with a black pudding jelly. The "guava" ends up on the dish as a smear, nothing more. My main was beef/capers/sour cherries/ smoked aubergine, but again, more- a delicious sauce, and perfect mash- a small amount, but perfect....There are 3 dessert options, I enjoyed a nougat with gold leaf. In all, the food was beautifully presented, and the best food in Dresden so far, on a par, that is, with Kallemeiers where you have to book a table. This place deserves the same popularity but is selling itself short with the odd menu descriptions. It scares people off, like myself. I urge you to go and try for yourself. There's a great evening to be had, in a stunning setting."
